The Overlook Apartments

Marjorie made our move to the overlook seamless! The facilities are kept immaculate. The staff has been very friendly. The apartment is clean and quiet. We are glad we chose the overlook.

Great place. We just moved to Louisville and looking to upgrade quickly. Saw these beauties and had to check it out. Had an awesome tour by Jennifer Langley who really just made my tour experience amazing. The property was well put together and the upgraded amenities were really nice to see.

I lived at The Overlook for two years and loved my apartment. Their gym and pickle ball court are top-tier amenities. The office puts on great resident events. I got to know quite a few neighbors going to them. Maintenance response time is quick and the office staff is always willing to help with any questions I had. My absolute favorite part of living at the Overlook was how safe I felt. I typically walked my dog early in the morning and late at night after coming home from work. The streets were well lit and there always seemed to be neighbors that were out and about to makes sure the community was always safe! I would happily live here again and always refer my friends when they are looking for somewhere to live!Floor plan was 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath with a garage.

It's hard to write a full review because this place is a mix of horrible and outstanding. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is amazing. The club house, pool, and fitness facilities are to die for. However the first apartment we moved into was well beneath the standards of the model we saw. We were in a crunch and had to move in right away. My wife took the first unit available and waited two weeks in a hotel while they got it ready. Upon moving in there was overspray of paint all over the hardwood floors. The drier, which was an older unit, tore some of clothing due to sharp edges and poor maintenance. The stove was a glass top stove and have a series of deep scratches and scuffs which I could never get out. One of the cabinets had missing and loose hardware. We had three situations of electrical shorts in the unit. All of these issues were addressed and take care of, but this was no where near the quality of the models we looked at when moving in. All of the windows in this unit were drafty and the sliding glass door to the patio might as well been a screen. A couple months after living there our neighbor graciously decided to have a negligent discharge of a firearm and sent a bullet through our dining room wall, missing my wife by about 12 inches. At this time we asked to be released from our lease and contacted an attorney. The staff offered a move for us to another unit which promised to be much nicer. It was huge, but came with a price tag and not a single discount was offered. They moved our deposit over but we had to pay pro rated rent at both units until we got moved over. The other tenant who caused us to move has remained in place and I have no idea if any penalty was given to him. To me, it seems we paid the price. There was some compassion given to us for the incident but management showed nothing in terms of financial breaks. We did walk the new unit to ensure everything was up to standards based on our last unit. As it was in the end of the winter season we did not check the windows other to ensure they were solid. They were solid but we later found out that maybe two of the 11 windows in the unit actually stayed where you put them once opening. All of the other windows slam shut unless propped open. I was told new windows were in the works but it could be five years before we see them. The dryer in the new unit was taking at least three cycles to dry the clothing. We put in no less than four maybe five requests for repairs. Each time they said it was fixed only for us to repeat the process. It has taken over six weeks to finally get a replacement dryer that works. As I stated, the grounds, the buildings and other areas are some of the best I have seen. The maintenance here and the oversight of such is way off the mark. Spending thousands of dollars a year for this frustration is not what I expected to deal with when moving here. We really love the new unit. I only wish it was hassle free. We rent so we don't have to deal with the numerous repairs issues of owning. We didn't get that.

Maintenance at the Overlook is wonderful they take care of everything right away. Ben came in the middle of the night to fix my HVAC unit. Over and beyond the call.

For some context, we had to travel interstate to make sure we picked the right apartment complex to facilitate our move. Jenna Durbin and the staff at Overlook not only answered all of our questions but, they went above and beyond helping us complete the process remotely. Jenna even assisted me by ensuring a clear unloading process when Uhaul gave me the biggest truck they had by accident. There are a ton of events that I get texts about as well as workout classes and other such things. I cant wait to really set everything up and enjoy this wonderful area.

When looking for a new apartment, I was very specific on my expectations. Gabby was so great and assured me the Overlook was the best spot for me. She was so accommodating and friendly! My experience has been great so far. I would definitely recommend the overlook to anyone who is looking for a new home!

The overlook is a great community to live in! It's nice and quiet and the staff is great. Maintenance keeps up the property very well. There's always fun events from fitness classes to pool parties!

I have absolutely loved living at The Overlook! The office staff and property management were fantastic and reliable. It's a great community if you enjoy being active and it always looks beautiful! I highly recommend making the Overlook your home.

The place is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Hannah has always been very nice & helpful. She's always trying to do the right thing for residents. I'm a resident and have enjoyed the amenities. Thanks,Linda W.
