The Miller House

Amazing service and the entries were wonderful. The whiskey selection was one of the best at a restaurant bar I have ever experienced.

Extremely disappointed. We went in for our annual Christmas tradition with our family. We booked ourTable weeks in advance and selected the night they said was easiest. When we arrived we're seated in the basement bar. I asked if there were any other tables upstairs and they said they were all reserved for parties. The bar is nice but not great for 4 kids under 12. The lighting was dark and the music made it had for our waitress to hear our orders. She was attentive and thought she did a great job. We had to repeat many orders and when we took dessert home found out that they sent the wrong dessert. When I called back they told be to bring the wrong dessert back along with the receipt. When I arrived they did not need the receipt nor collect the other dessert.

I love everything about The Miller House. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service is great. I joined friends for lunch for a retirement celebration. I got the tomato pie with the house salad.Talk about a perfect dish!! I have friends that order this seasonal dish and freeze them just so they can enjoy all year round. The pastry crust was flaky in all the right ways. The baked cheese topping was the chef's kiss. At the end of the meal, they brought out a platter of various desserts to help celebrate. What's a surprise! I've had dinner here multiple times, but this was a first time for lunch. Eat at this local place for a real treat!!

This was one of two places in Owensboro recommended to me. It was fabulous. I will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

So this was my first time there so these are my first impressions and observations. First the old home is beautiful. The location could be great, but the number of homeless and sketch people wondering around is concerning and made me feel like I had to keep my head on a swivel while outside and walking to and from my truck. Next, the hospitality of the staff was great. However I feel that the knowledge of the two young waitresses was a little poor for the product they are serving. Now let's talk food.... So I know they are known for Fried Green Tomatoes, which I have never had because I don't like tomatoes, but hey, my date wanted them so I gave them a try. It was much like I expected and they were ok, but I'm not a far judge since this isn't my thing. Next, my meal. I had meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Nothing to write home about, I like my exes better. Lastly my cocktail. I ordered the MillerHouse Old Fashioned. My favorite drink, and it was without a doubt one of the worst drinks I've ever had. After ordering a second hoping the first one was an accident, I figured it out. They use soda water. I pushed it to the side. I don't know where the bartender learned this method and maybe they just screwed it up, but never again. So overall, I enjoyed the time with my date, but I'd rather go to Texas Roadhouse. Most places I'm willing to give a second chance, but I just won't be doing that again in this instance.

I LOVE the Bourbon Bar & decided to have dinner right at the bar this visit.Bartender ( gent) did not disappoint with his fabulous Old Fashioned!Loved Chicken Soup, only wished the served my Spinach Salad wilted... they gave me warm dressing side... the wilting is the best part of a warm Spinach Salad.They were jamming for a Tue night!I will be back!

Had a reservation (on a Wednesday). We were told that out table was still being occupied, but was very nice offering cocktail service.Actually went to bar. After 45 minutes we were offered complimentary appetizer.After an +hour wait, offered a dining room upstairs. The room was hosting another large table. Long story short, did not order food,.. paid our bar bill and left hungry.
