The Merryweather

Fun spot to drop by. It's nothing fancy and even kinda divey, but that's the fun of it. Feels like it's been around forever. There's a nice outdoor space to hang out. Prices are good, and their specials make it even better.

A very low key chill bar to hang out with friends and chat. We went to the back and had drinks where there was a patio. I would come back here to chill and hang out with friends again

The Merryweather was our pick for Thanksgiving Eve. Friendly and attentive bartenders, and one of the best old fashioned I've had in a long time. Great price too!Indoor seating is limited but we found a couple of seats on the patio. The good news was heat lamps were on the perimeters of the patio but it does expose you to smoking. The patio was fairly busy by 8p. The Merryweather invites several food pop ups. Follow them on social media to keep up with menus and events.

Honestly hadn't been back here since it had been the Lydia House. I had been following them on social media but hadn't had the chance to visit.We came on a weekday after work to get drinks. It wasn't all that busy indoors. A few groups sat outside.I got the Fuzzy in Kentucky. It's peach with Heaven Hill bourbon. Refreshing!My friends got the Hibiscus G&T and the tiki (not sure which flavor was on tap).Not bad prices for happy hour!They do have food here. I got sliders since I was hungry. Very good and flavorful! Much better than standard sliders.I'd come back just to hang! It's a chill space and isn't super popular. Hipsters paradise!

Very hip neighborhood bar. Tamarind whiskey sour was new and delicjous.Nice back oatio, cool bartenders.No food til 6 pm though.

She came in for trivia night which was challenging and fine, but the house cocktail specials are awesome and the food pop ups are tremendous! I got wings and fries and they were super good. I've been there before for pop ups but this one was exceptional! It's a fun casual bar. Always have stuff on the TV's, in fact when we got there they had Star Trek on one screen and Star Wars on the other!

Good old fashioned. Unrefined place yet delightfully tasteful, in a I'm ok your ok kind of way.

A great neighborhood staple. I've been here countless times for lot of things. Their drinks are tasty and their patio is a great place to spend the evening hanging out with friends. There have been taco Tuesday outings, brunches, and food truck pop ups. I am by no means a regular here, but will for sure be popping in often.

Hard-to-argue with what's going on at the MerryWeather.My barber tipped me to this Schnitzelburg bar...and boy am I ever grateful! Ticks pretty much every "box" that works for me - unassuming, neighborhood feel but not "exclusive", up-to-date but also feels like its been there forever, wide variety cocktail program and also "the basics". Does the "something for everyone" thing without suffering the usual fate of such a concept - "nothing for anyone".Vibe is very, very chill. Lots of good conversations happening in there when we stopped in. Our visit was fairly early on a Monday (for their "Blue Monday" industry/bitters specials) so not really sure what happens if/when things are "rolling".Bartender was game for whatever we threw at her. We started with some house made coconut infused Campari shots and moved through a couple signature cocktails. No "harrumphs" at our exploratory orders (which is sadly not always the case when visiting a new place). Everything was delicious, and reasonably priced. Apparently they have a rotating food service there...check their socials for who's providing grub on any given day. Looks like they have some tasty treats in there fairly regularly. Also seems to be an outdoor space but we didn't go out there.Go check 'em out!

I've been to the merryweather many times! A dive bar with pop up food, that never disappoints! Their Bloody Mary is great! So is the frozen aperol spritz. Plenty of outdoor seating too.
