The Local Taco - Lexington

Awesome place! Great atmosphere. Dinner is 2 tacos and 2 sides for $16 without a drink. Lunch is $12. I got the Pulled Pork taco and brisket taco, Mexican rice and chips & salsa!

This seemed like a very popular place and I love tacos. Prices $ But....Nice atmosphere outside Nice staffFood came too quick made me wonder if safe. I got the brisket taco and it's not brisket it's roast beef. It was tender but not brisket!!!!!The chicken tequila tacos just okay. Chicken was tender. No flavor Food was thrown together with no love or pride. Honestly I make better tacos .I barely ate my food . Maybe it's because I am from California I expected something different . They have Gluten free options I will not be back.

4 tacos for $17 fair deal the Citrus Chicken was good the steak taco dry no flavor . I asked about the homemade guacamole the waitress said yes it was homemade I beg to differ all it was is a green paste with very little flavor... I don't know if you're looking for a ok taco place if so this would work .. the soft tacos are OK .. The service was fine and the ambience was kind of like a mom and pop deal. I say a 5 on a scale of 10 as far as food quality. The reason I said maybe on the recommendation is if you're hungry and in a hurry, thank you..

Great steak, chicken and fish Tacos. Service is fast and friendly. Ambiance is cozy and light. Great place for lunch down town Lexington and the one in Hamburg is just as good. The spicy corn on the comb is amazing!

The Local Taco is truly a staple of Lexington, KY - I went to school at UK until 2018 and I swear this is the place that everyone loves and also the place you have your parents take you when they come in to visit you at school. The food is always good and fresh and the staff is always kind as well! Along with good food, I like that you order at the counter, take a number, and seat yourself. They have an option to sit indoors or on the patio which I also love. I had the great pleasure of returning to The Local Taco today and I ordered the Triple Crown Cheese Enchilada which I've never had before and I LOVED it. I also got a side of rice and raja salsa with chips. As always, I loved my meal and left with a full stomach and smile across my face. Thank you, The Local Taco, for being tried and true for me and so many others! Can't wait to be back as always!

If you're near campus and craving some fantastic tacos, it's definitely worth a visit - just don't expect to leave stuffed unless you're ready to splurge a bit.

Casual spot offering a fun clean environment to enjoy some great tasting food. The service was friendly, and service was extremely prompt, especially with the tacos. The selection available was expansive, offering solid options that all tasted quite good. The interior offered plenty of seating, and the speed of service was maintained throughout the rush. Pricing was fair and well worth it. Would definitely recommend and will return

A Lexington and UK classic. Great atmosphere, very laid back and chill. Food is cheap, service is super friendly and fast. You get your food VERY quickly, almost suspiciously. The quality of the food is lacking, but its still delicious. You can tell its not fresh, but it doesnt matter with how good it is for the price you pay. Ive heard takeout is a poor experience, but my girlfriend and I go for the atmosphere, ease, quickness, and price, so takeout does not make sense for this type of place. Drinks were surprisingly pretty good for the size of the bar. Seating can be tough, as its busy during nice days/graduation. Prepare to wait in a very long line on said days, but overall we love it here.

Service friendly and fast - great spot to grab a bite before a game at Rupp Arena Wildcats basketball!'Had the spinach & mushroom enchiladas and the verde sauce was on point (nice mild kick) Chicken lime taco was okay too.. pricing very very reasonable

The food was seasoned well. Great chips and queso. Too cold, inside restaurant. Food did not come all at once.
