First bed and breakfast experience and what an experience!!! I was expecting an old barn and a continental breakfast. Instead it was a, very, recently updated house. We stayed in July and the days were consistently in the 90s and with the humidity it felt like over 100. The house and our room were always cool, it was such a relief. The WiFi was strong and present every where. Breakfast!! The first night it was just myself, my wife and nine year old daughter staying at the Inn. Jeff, the proprietor, asked what time we wanted breakfast. With nothing early to do that day we settled on 8:30. We came downstairs at 8:30 to find the table set. Coffee and orange juice on the table. There was yogurt and fresh blueberries and strawberries too. Then Jeff brought the eggs, bacon and potatoes! So much more than the bagel and granola bar I was expecting! I won't step though all four breakfasts in this much detail but just list some things that Jeff, a former chef, served. Bacon every day, baked French toast with fruit, a quiche, grits (my request), pancakes and there was always cereal if my daughter turned her nose up at something. This was the best meal of the day every day we were there!Did I mention how hot it was? We had brought a cooler on the five hour drive from home with water and pop that we planned to drink throughout the week. We brought the whole cooler home untouched! As we 'checked in' Jeff showed us the beverage fridge (water, soda, beer) which he kept stocked for the whole stay. Finally I will mention the early evening social hour snacks. Chips, dip, veggies, meat, cheese and always a bottle wine. Any time I need to be in Louisville I will be staying at the Inn !!

I've had the pleasure of attending two events at this warm, welcoming and immaculate bed and breakfast. This historic home has been fully updated and redesigned with comfort, and enjoyment of the beautiful working farm scenery in mind. Chef Jeff is known around town for his prior experience in the restaurant business as both an owner and chef. His dishes continue to be creative and delight! Jeff is a pleasure to be around and it's obvious he has a sincere love for what he is doing. I would encourage anyone, in or out of town, to take pleasure in a stay at The Inn at Spring Run. You'll be back, I promise!!!

We attended a lovely anniversary brunch here. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful. The interior is very tasteful and cozy. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. This would be a perfect place for many occasions. Girls or guys weekend, bachelor/ bachelorette weekend party, small wedding, anniversary party or just a quiet getaway.

Recently spent 3 wonderful days and 2 glorious nights at the beautiful Spring Run Farm and Inn (horse farm and bed & breakfast) in Prospect, KY. My hubby took me there in celebration of my 70th birthday! An equestrian experience was actually #2 on my bucket list, and it was such a joy to spend time at this amazing place!! Have always loved horses, and have had some experience/training as a teenager, but hadn't gotten my hands on a horse in decades. We were met at the inn at check-in by co-owner and master chef, Jeff Perellis. He showed us around the B&B, gave us a history lesson about the 2 circa 1790's cabins that had been enclosed within the beautifully restored dwelling, and made us feel most welcome. Later during our stay, he prepared several truly delicious breakfasts and dinners for us, as well.Co-owner Susan Perellis, an award-winning horsewoman whose family has owned this property for over 200 years and who grew up on the farm, arranged for us to have a riding lesson and trail ride with one of her trainers. The instructor, Linda, was very patient with us old folks, and was wonderful to work with. And a shout out to Linda's daughter, Lisa, who acted as a sort of ambassador for the farm from the minute we stepped past the inn's gate and into the horse barn area. (They have 5 barns and dozens and dozens of horses there!!) Lisa introduced us to most of the horses, helped teach us how to interact with them, gave us tips on riding, etc. Many people who come to Spring Run Farm and Inn just stay the night while they are doing other things in the area. Not us! We parked the car, then stayed on the property the whole time to get the most from this adventure! All the other riders at the farm were exceptionally friendly, as well, and were always willing to tell us about their horses, and often gave us treats to give to them! (Who knew horses liked peppermint candy!!) During our stay, we walked all over the property, and were also able to observe several riding lessons during our visit. Our entire experience at Spring Run Farm and Inn exceeded our expectations far beyond our wildest dreams, but the "icing on the cake" was going with owners Susan and Jeff during their "night check" of all the horses in the barns!! Can't tell you how special and magical it was to walk into a darkened barn at night, having Susan switch on the light, and all the beautiful horses sticking their heads out of their stalls to see who was coming to visit them!!A big THANK YOU to Jeff, Susan, Linda, Lisa, and everybody at Spring Run Farm and Inn for helping me celebrate my special birthday! We hope to be back soon!!!

I want to sing the praises of this lovely inn! When my brother visited from Seattle in October, I knew I wanted him to spend a night there to get a feel for the Kentucky countryside and hospitality. I took a room also, and we had a grand time! Jeff and Susan were lovely hosts. The rooms are super nice, with every convenience, without going overboard and losing an authentic country charm. That night, we sat around the fire pit behind the inn and talked 'til late, the woods all around, a few horse nickers in the distance. It was soul restoring. The next morning, Jeff made Bill and me a fabulous vegan breakfast (my request). It was delicious! I heartily recommend you check out this treasure!

The Inn at Spring Run Farm is a gorgeous, charming place, and you really tell how much love and care went into every detail of the renovations for this historical house. Chef Jeff's amazing cooking doesn't hurt either :) It would be an ideal spot for showers, weddings, retreats, a weekend away, or even bachelor/bachelorette parties! It's an easy drive into either the local town or into downtown Louisville. If you're into biking or hiking, Floyd's Fork trail is close - within 20 minutes - and we've enjoyed exploring those when in town. Highly recommend staying here!

We had the pleasure to stay at the Inn at Spring Run Farm when we were in town in June for a wedding. WOW!!!! What an amazing experience -- from the historic charming Inn to all the modern necessities & luxuries of the future -- this Inn has it all. First, its just 10 minutes from the East End of Louisville -- 20 minutes from downtown. It is set on a real working Kentucky Horse farm (one of the owners offered me a trail ride on her horse -- something for next time when I have no family obligations) that happens to be in some of the most beautiful country in the state. We were met by the innkeeper/Chef Jeff and shown our room. Along the way, he showed us where we could have a cold or hot beverage or a snack anytime. Our room was large, very clean, and VERY CHARMING with a modern private bathroom filled with high end Kentucky soaps, shampoos etc. The bed was so comfortable that we slept in a bit. But, no worry, Chef Jeff had prepared us a sumptuous Southern breakfast with a frittata, biscuits & gravy, fruit & more. We didn't eat again till dinner and every bite was delicious. When we came back from a day of sightseeing the lights were soft, candles were burning and soft music was playing. And yes, more food -- some sweets before bedtime :) I would recommend this Inn to anyone needing a place to stay in the greater Louisville area -- I was thinking I might come back and book all the rooms for a girls weekend (Bourbon trail, Zappos outlet, & all that Louisville has to offer!). I simply can't wait to return!!
