Thank you Growler Stop, for being so close to my house first of all. Second, thank you for the incredible selection of unique beers to keep me occupied during the pandemic. From the outside it really looks unassuming and maybe even a little sketchy. Its kind of an odd concept since it technically is a gas station convenience store. But hey, we live in Ohio where there are *drive thru beer* joints. Oh what an age we live in. I ventured inside recently while waiting for a food truck order (they often host these here). Upon entering there is the smell of pretzel, which they are apparently also famous for. I'll have to come back and be the judge of that another time when I didn't already order food. I was instantly greeted by the bartender. I chose to browse around for a bit, and he was great at answering any questions I had. One of the ltd release beers I found was also on tap, so he let me try it first! So they have pre packaged cans, bottles, and 40oz. Most of it is in coolers. They also have a ton of beer on tap that can be consumed there, or taken home in growlers (hence the store name). There is a large bar with seating and various indoor tables. For the nicer weather, there are also outdoor tables. Because the store is next to a dog park they even offer Fido's Freezzys dog ice cream. You will have to ask for it because they keep it behind the counter. I'm not sure how this has changed recently but they do fun Trivia nights among other events. Don't sleep on this unique place if you are a lover of the craft brew!

The Growler Stop is one of those places that is so unique, it has to be visited to be believe. I guess it is technically the convenience store that goes with a Marathon Gas station. In this conveniences store however beer has taken over. While a selection of candies are available by the front register (along with tobacco products and lottery ticket,) there is not the usual selection of snacks one might expect to find. There are other (non alcoholic) bottled drinks, along with wine and a beer cave. It is all in the name. This is where one goes for beer. During our visit, primarily local breweries were on tap. It is a revolving selection. A root beer was even on tap. What was on tap did not match what was listed on their website. The beer I was really looking forward to trying had cycled out. I know for next time to call first. Pours may be ordered in as little as 4 ounces. Growlers may be purchased there, or bring your own. (if bringing your own, they will sanitize it before filling.) Service was fast and friendly. We were greeted promptly upon entering. While stopped infront of the draft board we where asked if there was anything he could get up. We were checked on, got a growler to go, and checkout was easy. Various promotions happen during the week. There is an emplty the taps night, as well as a trivia night.

So I pop in with a new C02 growler my wife bought me for Father's Day... My initial greeting was a sneer. The man tending bar states matter of factly, "I hate these damn things." Then he turns to a patron and says, "don't ever buy one of these." Can you imagine? The dude who works at The Growler Stop doesn't like filling growlers? I think I have a solution, find something else to do. He proceeds to curse his way through the filling of the growler, hands it to me soaking wet. I pay. And he proceeds to continue talk shit about my growler as I'm on the way out the door. Never went back. I go down to Lehr's in Milford. They like my growler and my money just fine.

Ok, it seems weird but I think my favorite bar might be a gas station. When I started working in this part of town about 7 years ago, this place was just a mediocre Shell station. Then slowly but surely it became...Growler-ized. The Shell branding went away, signs about beer and bretzels appeared, and soon folks from the office were disappearing a little early on Fridays to drink at the gas station. I didn't get it at first, but now I totally do. See, the outside still looks like a gas station. I'm pretty sure the pumps are still functional. But when you walk inside, it's not the grungy, seedy interior you expect. Instead, this place is a sleek bottle shop slash bar with a killer selection and plenty of local craft brews on tap. It's a very, very pleasant gas station to hang out and have a few drinks at. And on top of that, the staff is awesome. They're happy to answer questions, look into ordering things they don't carry, and help you find something you'll love. I've gotten to the point that I don't even look at the tap list--I name whatever style I'm in the mood for and let them guide me, maybe with a sample or two along the way. It always works out!In short, this isn't like, a regular gas station. It's a cool gas station. And you should give it a chance.

The growler shop is really an under rated hang out spot. Yes it's also a marathon gas station but it's also a bar. They have a ton of beer you can pick up to go and plenty of stuff on draft if you want to stay and grab a drink. Friday nights they have trivia which is a fun time. We're always laughing and having a blast. On top of a ton of alcohol choices they have really good pretzels with amazing cheese dips to go with it. We love hanging here on trivia nights!

This place is a hidden gem. It's a beer store and craft beer bar that also sells gas. They have fresh baked pretzels and a bevy of dipping sauces. The guy who manages the place is super friendly and accommodating. Lots of TVs. A great place to kill an hour or three.

If you are looking for a quirky bar/gas station, look no further. This place has you covered. Fill up your car and stop in for a beer and pretzel. Come in on a Friday night, and play trivia! Try to determine if it is a gas station with a bar inside it or a bar with a gas pump. Either way, it's pretty inviting and has good beer!

Very cool spot that is inside a gas station. They have mostly local brews on tap from around the Ohio area but have many bottles from all over. You can go in sit down have a beer on tap or pick some off the shelf or even go into the cold beer cave and find your guilty pleasure. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and there was no one there but the girl said the crowd comes in around dark most nights. Very fun place if you are looking for something different, you can buy a scratch off ticket while you wait for your growler to be filled. Glad I stumbled apron this and really hope it does well.

A bar at a gas station? I was confused. I did not believe it when I heard about it. Is this a Cincinnati thing? Then I was invited to hang out there after work for happy hour one day... Now this became one of my favorite spots in Cincinnati. They have great selection of craft beer on tap and awesome, friendly staffs. It is just a fun and nice place to chill after a long day!
