The Grill

They're not closed!!! Went here last week, got a fried bologna sandwich and fries. Food was really good, restaurant was clean, and the staff were very nice. Food came super quick. Really enjoyed the grill!

A coworker and I went to The Grill today. I was my first time dining there. I ordered the English Dogs and onion rings. My coworker got a hamburger. She said they have the best burgers around. My hot dogs were pretty good. I wasn't a big fan of the type of ranch they use. I'm a ranch dipper, lol. I dip my onion rings in it. But the chili they used was pretty tasty. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm on the West Side. Pop, onion rings, and two dogs was close to $15 (excluding tip). That was a little higher than what I expected, but prices are higher everywhere nowadays unfortunately.

I was in Charleston working and saw commercial about some guy name Sheff running for some office, BUT what I remember most was he got a Hot Dog at THE GRILL and I had to try it out. I got a hot dog with chili, slaw and onions light on the mustard and fries with a cup of ice for my drink in the car. No dining in at the time due to Covid 19, so I paid $7 with tip and taxes. Only major complaint they didn't give me ketchup, straw or napkins.The Hot Dog was very good. Great chili and slaw. Bun was slightly steamed I definitely would eat here again

This place is a classic hole-in-the-wall, with GREAT food! I need to get my pal Guy Fieri here to do a "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!" Episode. I had two English Dogs with chili and Cole Slaw today, on two great toasted split buns! This place has great burgers, but maybe the BEST French Fries in West Virginia! Brown and crisp on the outside, hot and moist on the inside - potato Heaven!! Great daily specials on Charleston's hip Elk City district!!!

Food was ok, not great. Service was pathetic. Slow,. Asked me to move tables after I sat down because "they have a guy that comes in later and likes that table".

I was in town visiting and was across the street getting my shoes repaired when I needed to kill some time and was hungry. The place is not very lavish but the food and the customer service is excellent. I had the special of the day which was catfish and fries and it was very good. I was the only person at the time so can't speak to eye candy. However, I would visit again.

The business is closed/out of business. We went by tonight, a Monday evening, based on recent reviews. Yelp verified they were open on Monday at 6:30 pm, but when we arrived the door was double locked, the lights were off and signs in the window said "coming soon". Don't know what's "coming soon" but it's not the business that Yelp indicates is serving food from that location.

I love the Grill!! The Hamburgers are amazing, the hotdogs are really good too! Have to try the Onions and oh the taco dog ( YES) ...... It is my go to when I want something fast and friendly service from a hometown feel.

Delicious! English dogs and onion rings! Absolutely Amazing! 5/5 stars and would highly recommend!

Had dinner at the GRILL this evening with two of my best friends for a birthday celebration. We were very excited to try it. I must tell everyone that is was very disappointing. Two of us ordered filet tips,Brussels sprouts and macaroni and cheese. We also ordered appetizers. We ordered stuffed mushrooms, artichoke dip and some kind of potato appetizer. Service was just so so. Not good and not the worse that I have had. Food was absolutely a disappointment. Had to send it back due to being cold. I doubt that we would go back there due to the quality of food for the price. I don't know right off the bat if I have had that bad of food anywhere of the caliber that that restaurant was suppose to be. Would have to give it a 1 star. The place was not even busy and it was a Friday evening.
