Both the food a service was amazing. Not many places around to get a good home cooked meal! Definitely great southern comfort food.

Decent food, great prices, limited menu choices. Our experience was average. The hamburger was above average size and the fries were hot. The cornbread was dry. The pork chop was very good and coated with what tasted like KFC breading. Water was bottled. Indoor dining is small, but adequate. Other patrons recommended to the ribs, meatloaf and fish. Will give this a try in next visit before making a final decision.

This was a surprise find of pretty decent country cooking at a little local diner. I had the bbq ribs, green beans, coleslaw and cornbread. It was all decent! My husband said the burger was outstanding! Fries were good and crispy. This is a no frills, easy stop. Come as you are. Portions were good sized, but not huge. Service was pretty quick. The menu wasn't huge, but looked like a decent variety. Total tab for two with sodas was $29 which is a fantastic bargain in this economy. We will have to come again soon!

The food didn't have much flavor. Over priced. Cost me $18 with tip. I ordered the fish platter with Cole slaw and greens and cornbread. Cold. Everything. I dined in. Cold and flavorless. Catfish was pre-made. Served cold. Prolly won't return.

Stumbled across this restaurant and so glad I did. Home cooking, local owners and friendly people. I will definitely be back. The meatloaf was delicious and the green beans had actual seasoning, I could tell they had simmered the way beans are supposed to be simmered. Clean restaurant in a nice quant space.

I had a taste for fish or ribs and stopped by to try something. I was disappointed that they had sold out everything but the pot roast, hot dogs, burgers and chicken. I decided to try the pot roast with greens and slaw. I was not disappointed at all. The pot roast was tender and seasoned just right as well as the greens and slaw. The serving was plentiful. It finally happened guys! New Albany finally has a place to get delicious soul food. The Food Peddler opened at 2602 Charlestown Road next to Lifespring and the license branch. I have been working my way through the menu and I believe my favorites are the fried pork chops and the fried fish. I get the collard greens and the macaroni and cheese They have burgers and fries, pork ribs and pot roast as well. It is a small start-up by a New Albany native. We all know how much work is involved in trying anything new, especially opening a restaurant. Let's all support them so they will stay. They are open 11 until 7p and closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Food is excellent for a family-owned restaurant! For a newer establishment it is a must try!
