The Floral Grind Florist And Coffeehouse

Floral grind is my go to local coffee shop! Not only do they have great coffees, they also offer made to order breakfast items! You have the option of stopping inside or going through a drive thru! The workers and owners are amazingly friendly and are always helpful!

Stopped in here for a Frappe and discovered that they also had Sandwiches and other items.I had the Turkey cheese wrap (spinach wrap) and a Vanilla Caramel Frappe.Both were DELICIOUS!I'll stop in here again the next time I'm in the area!

Since my daughter and son in law moved here last summer I have more opportunity to stop by for a cup of coffee. This seems to be the hangout for a number of locals. The staff is pleasant and coffee is good and very reasonable. It really is an oasis in the community of Fairdale.

This is a small floral/gift shop and coffee and brunch place located in the town portion of Fairdale in Lousiville Kentucky just at the foothills of the Mitchell hill entrance. For years I've passed Thai place and been curious what they have to offer. So yesterday when out with my wife and 2 of my daughters we was in the area with some friends and wanted to grab a coffee and snack. So we finally made the trip. The inside is very lovely and cozy and much larger then I was anticipating. They have a surprisingly nice food selection and the shop has some cool figurines and trinkets to check out. On our trip me my wife and oldest daughter got sandwiches and the baby got a chocolate muffin. We also got some drinks. I personally ordered a bacon egg and Cheese sandwich and a frozen hot chocolate. Te drink was tasty and on par with other frozen drinks I've had. The sandwich shocked me. It was legit very good. Better then a lot of actual full time breakfast establishments who primary focus is making sandwiches. My wife got a strawberry smoothie and like me she got the same sandwich I got except she got sausage. She shared the same sentiments I did. My oldest got an everything bagel and an iced coffee and loved them both. Our friend enjoyed there food as well. The chocolate muffin was large and looked great. It was a little dry in the middle but still tasty. All I all we all love the food and drinks here. They had two workers here and I'll say one girl (dark haired) was extremely nice and personable. Great with us and great with our one year old and seemed genuinely kind. The other girl (blonde hair) was hating life. They have a drive thru at this place and whenever someone rides up a buzzard goes off her eyes went so far into her skull they almost glued to her brain. Bad body language and just very depressed looking. I asked her one question when she bright out my daughters iced coffee (asked if it was the frozen hot chocolate or frozen coffee) and she got very short and answered walking off without eye contact. Overall cool place and great food. Cute decor and setup. I was debating on dropping this from a 5 star experience to a 4 star because of depressed blonde girl. But the other dark haired girl was the complete opposite and we dealt with her mainly. Plus some people just have bad days. I'll absolutely visit again. If the return visit warrants a lowering due to bad service then I will. I'm hoping it was just that one girl having a bad day because this was a cool little place.

Love, love loved this place! I was pleasantly surprised by all the goodies, candles & wind chimes. I got the iced grind & it was really good & strong. I was also surprised by their lunch selection. I chose the BLT on the croissant. The tomato was a perfectly red home grown. It was really good. The bacon is was perfectly cooked too. I can't wait to go back & check out other things on their unique menu. Plus not to mention you can order flower arrangements! Definitely worth checking out!

First the good stuff about our first and last visit to this little local spot for breakfast. Prices are reasonable, young staff that waited on us were friendly, cute spot for lunch or breakfast, due to being in the floral shop you could shop while you waited for your food and there were a lot of cute knick knacks for sale, parking handy, hubby ordered eggs over easy, sausage and toast. (Eggs were over light but the cook said she would put them back on the grill. Thought thst was interesting that she would not make him new eggs but recook the ones from his plate, but he said he would eat them over easy and he enjoyed his breakfast. Now, the not so good stuff. I had a coupon (see in photos) for a free cup of coffee, mind you with the purchase of a large drink. Upon ordering I gave the coupon to the girl at the counter who took it to the manager/owner. The coupon came in the South Louisville Community Ministries coupon book ( a reputable organization and a big fundraiser for them). Admittedly, I have had it for at least a year but there is no expiration date on it so I just assumed they would honor it. Keep in mind we have ordered food and we're going to order a large coffee to use the coupon. But the owner was dismissive of it and us. She adamantly said she did not authorize the coupon, or if she did, she said she didn't remember doing so and said "this is no good". So needless to say I was disappointed in her response and attitude. She kept questioning who printed, made these coupons, as if I had printed it myself possibly, or that is how it felt. So we let it go but at that point decided we would not be repeat customers. Another couple joined us shortly after we arrived and ordered food as well, which looked really good, a club and grilled cheese box lunches.When I told my friend about the coupon she didn't think it was right and she questioned the owner. At that point she got more dismissive of us and the coupon and after that exchange we left and said we would not be back to which the owner replied I don't want you back. All over a small cup of coffee, which she did offer to provide but at that point I did not want.Shame because I saw a couple of items I would have purchased and the location is convenient for us as we live in the Fairdale area. Thus the one star review as it was not a pleasant dinning experience that in my opinion could have been handled differently by the owner.

My daughter and I absolutely love their hot sandwiches . Their t shirts are so creative. They are always nice and friendly

Floral grind is a must stop ! they have the best drinks and food ! So some shopping while you are there and grab something for yourself or someone else. The best part.... the staff is absolutely AMAZING! I will for sure be back to visit again soon!

The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Love the variety of coffees they have to offer. Every flower arrangement that I have ordered has been absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend The Floral Grind.
