Easy on and off I-65.Fish is breaded in a cornmeal and fried perfectly.Everything is served up quick and hot. Nice bar area to catch a game and a beer, they even have some fun mixed drinks.Nice staff. Not much to look at for the building, but the food and sushi are good! Very good.

If you're looking for some good fried food, this is your place! Had the catfish nuggets, and they were pretty good! Service was good for the occasion when we were here for lunch. Plenty of seating available. They have a pretty big menu, so I think just about anybody could find something they like here

Large fish restaurant located in Shepherdsville right off the freeway in front of Paraquet springs hall. We stopped in here with my family of 6 meeting some friends for some fish on this Lenten Friday. Our party size was ten and even though they were very crowded they seated us rather quickly. This place is massive inside. They had 4 different seating areas including a covered patio area where they had a live band playing. The decor in here was pretty nice and the place was very clean and well up kept. Our group ordered some different orders of sushi rolls and a calamari app to start with. The sushi took over thirty minutes to come out and the calamari came out like 5 min after our entrees. So not very good service. I'm not a sushi person but I'm must admit the crunch roll they had was phenomenal. It may have been mine hunger clouding my judgment but I don't think it was. Maybe my daughters are beating me into submission and I'm starting to like sushi. The late calamari was very tiny pieces and the marinara sauce was a cheap packaged one so that took away from the enjoyment. Wasn't bad but nothing worth ordering again. For my entree I personally got then 8 piece jumbo shrimp with a side of tater tots and rice. The rice was gross, the tots were good and the shrimp was just ok. Had a bit too much of a strong Cajun spices for my liking. Much like the cheap packaged marinara sauce they had cheap packaged cocktail sauce which once again took away from the taste overall. My wife got the grilled shrimp and scallops and was a huge fan. Said had great flavor. My oldest daughter got frog legs and said they were solid. but said it was a strange taste of chicken and fish combined. To which I responded "well frogs are the chicken of the swamp". My youngest two got kids meal. Which by the way the kids menu had hilarious names. One got chicken nuggets and the other got Mac and cheese. The one year old snacked on our sides of fries and tots. The kids finished there plates. So no complaints. I really wanted to like this place as it has a cool vibe. However, the food was all over the place and the service was brutally bad. I get it. Things are very busy on lent Friday's but being a seafood establishment you should be ready for that. Lent isn't new so it shouldn't sneak up on them That said I'll probably come back. The sushi was really good. And my wife loved her meal. Pricing wasn't too crazy. Maybe next time I'll skip the calamari, get a better entree or just stick to sushi. Maybe the service will be better on a return trip. If so I'll update my rating.

It may be I'm giving three stars to this restaurant for the reason that I did not order the seafood boil that I really wanted. I watched other customers eating and wanted to dive into their big boil bowl with them. So instead, because it was an afternoon Sunday lunch, I ordered the cod with two sides. The cod was the size of a small hot dog. Full of fish but pretty lackluster. The coleslaw was good, a sweet, mayonnaise type. And there again, I ordered the hush puppies, not that exciting either. Check out the menu below and if you're so inclined, enjoy the seafood boil. Priced at $29.99, I did watch one gentleman eat the entire bowl. So I'm not so sure about sharing. But in the Shepherdsville community, it certainly is a refreshing choice of some New Orleans cuisine. Very very friendly staff and service. Everything clean and cautious.

Lots of great choices and low prices. Two dinners and tea under $25! Bigger place than it looks so give it a try even if parking lot is full

The two hostesses looked miserable, like they did not want to be there. However, our waitress was great and made the meal better. My husband liked his jumbo shrimp and catfish. My medium fried shrimp had great flavor, but they were too tough. Both of my kids had "popcorn shrimp" but it was the same as my medium sized shrimp. My son complained about them being too hard to chew up. The fries and macaroni were tasty. The asparagus was too mushy, so I assumed they steam theirs rather than grilling. Prices were reasonable and the food portion was more than enough. I would try the a fish House again, maybe trying a combo plate next time.
