The Broken Axle

After renting an ATV at BAC a few doors down, we met a cute little dude. He overheard us discussing lunch and he said, "Go to my restaurant!" We giggled, but he was SERIOUS! So we walked a few businesses away and discovered The Broken Axle. We were quickly seated and provided menus and discovered, it IS his restaurant, he's AXLE! Hilarious. We met his mom and dad who are the owners. My group of five ordered various items. Tacos, a hamburger, sliders, a chicken wrap and the fried buffalo chicken mac wrap. Along with our mains we had various sides; chips, fries, onion rings and Tetris shaped tater tots.With the amount of variety I fully expected a delay in receiving our order. NOPE!! All the food arrived at the same time and everyone's meals were hot! We all agree that this was the favorite meal of our road trip.We found out later that they sponsor a yearly music concert with headline names!! WOW! This year is Joe Nichols. Fantastic.

The 3 reviews must be from the owner, cook and waitress - absolutely the worst food (if ya wanna call it food honestly) terrible, horrible - aweful absolutely aweful - place is a joke for food - wow - unreal - well yo be fair let me say - we got a 29.00 sampler plater that was supposed to have a little of everything from the sharing menu - actually asked to make sure - and it WAS - until it wasn't - out of few things so - well "they didn't mean everything them "" it was all uneatable except for house made chips" and got the flatbread with cheese and lettuce - nasty - so maybe if ya wanna try them - try something else - nothing on the sampler worth buying - at all - such a waste of 65 with tip - and yea not the waitresses fault - guaranteed frozen food 6 months old - either under or overcooked and just again NASTY - just unreal

The service was good, the waitress was quick to take our order! the food was delicious and i loved the environment and ambiance of the place!!

Food is amazing and not something you will find just anywhere. We had the sausage and cheese plate appetizer and Philly cheesesteak with fries...so good. Hannah was our server who was outstanding at her job! Spacious and appropriately designed and decorated for her his area. We love and recommend #brokenaxle

Stopped here on our way into town. Nice place with an awesome Philly steak sandwich and chips! Service was great and quick
