We went to the bowling alley on a hot and humid late afternoon, midweek during the summer, and enjoyed a few games to spend some time being silly. The location is fairly easy to find off of Shelbyville Road near the large shopping mall. Parking lot is fairly large and well marked. The building is fairly nondescript from the outside, which belied all of the neon and party atmosphere on the interior. We approached the counter to the right of the entrance door and were able to rent the ugly shoes and decided to rent lanes by the hour for 2 hours. It is also an option to rent the lanes per game, which the staff person said takes about a half-hour. We discovered that it takes our group of 4 almost an hour to play one game because we dawdle. The lanes are in fabulous shape at this property. All mechanisms were fully functional. Staff were cleaning the lanes not being used. They have a snack bar and bar area, but we bypassed food and drink during this visit since it was just a stopover on today's agenda. We plan to come back soon with more pals to have some more fun. Prices are in line with other entertainment venues. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.

This is my favorite spot to bowl in Louisville. It's very old school, greasy and grimy but that's what I love about it. Pure nostalgia. Everyone that works here are super friendly and there is never a long wait to get a lane. I also like Ten Pin because it's not as expensive as other bowling alleys. It costs about 6 dollars a game which makes it a cheap date night.

My latest visit to Ten Pin was for my son's school bowling league. The alley was active for a Friday afternoon. We filled up at least 20 lanes but barely took up a third of the alley. The lanes kept score for the players and flashed standing pins before throw #2. A long, curved seat is available for players on two lanes and overall there was enough space for people to sit between bowling. Behind the playing area was a long row of tables, which was a nice space to watch our kids without being in their personal space or distracting them.True story. While I was there to support my son I had been dreaming of bowling alley fries from the snack. I was not disappointed in their crinkle fries. So good! I also got a grilled cheese. Nothing extravagant, just one off the griddle like your grandma would make you. The snack bar has a full menu, including pizza and burgers. Drinks were plentiful, including soda, Icees and beer. Check out Ten Pin for leagues, birthday parties and basic lane rentals. This is a classic bowling alley to enjoy!

Ten Pin Strike & Spare or as I like to call it, Fun is Bowling, is such a good time. I visited with my sister and her husband to do a little birthday celebration. We went on a Saturday night and while it was pretty packed, we were able to easily get a lane for 3 people. The offer alcoholic beverages which makes for a fun time. Overall the crowd seemed pretty cool, I will be back to enjoy more bowling with friends at another time!

This place is not somewhere you go if you're looking to actually bowl. We got there, paid for the games and our lane was bone dry. It was nearly impossible to bowl on. When I went to the front to ask if we could switch lanes in the completely empty alley, the GM said that the lanes designated for open bowl (not school practices or league bowlers) weren't maintained and that "you can't expect anything when you're just in here for open bowl." She acted like she was doing me a favor by letting me pay for the privilege of a bad experience. We go bowling 2-3 times a week and won't return. If you actually enjoy bowling, go somewhere else.

My daughter went to 10-Pin with 7 of her friends. They paid for 2 games on two lanes (4 and 4). They each paid separately, to which the cashier snidely asked, "Oh, so you're going to make this difficult?"They were 5 frames into the second game and the game suddenly ended. When my daughter asked the cashier why the game ended early, he responded that one of her party had not paid so he ended the game. So, I wonder why he did not make it clear at the beginning that someone had not paid? To wait until that moment and then cut their game off with no warning was despicable. Very poorly managed.

This may be my favorite bowling alley in town. It's got a classic, old-school bowling alley vibe. Meaning, it's a bit dark, there's a small bar, and there's a grill serving up burgers and fries. More "modern" bowling alleys, or "entertainment complexes" or whatever, tend to go big on fancy light displays, hugeness, sit-down restaurants, loud music, and many other types of games, if bowling isn't your thing.Ten Pin has a great staff. There are always lanes open. The equipment all works. It's comfy and cozy. It's just a great place to spend quality time with family and friends. Now, I want a burger and beer here.

The website and door of the bowling alley said they opened at 9, so we took a group here at 10 to bowel. They guys bowed up and unlocked the door at 10, then at 10:15 someone told us they didn't open till 11. They were rather unapologetic. Come on guys, update your hours. Good costumer relations 101.The weird thing is, as we were waiting outside for the rest of our party to arrive, people went In with bowling balls, but they still wouldn't let us in. Weird.

This place would be so much better if the employees just smiled a tad and they got rid of that terrible bar tender. Ten Pin is really set up for a good time just really need to clean house on all of the employees.

This alley is alright. The workers were nice and it got the job done. We wanted to put up bumpers for my little brother, but if you want them up they're up the whole game for everyone. The shoes are extremely slippery. Usually the heel is tacky but we were slipping so much no matter how our stance was, it was almost dangerous. The equipment is definitely a bit out of date. A pin got stuck in the mechanism and a worker had to run back to fix it. This would not have been a big deal if we had been paying by the game, but we were paying by the hour (it was half the price) and that pin ate into a little over 10 minutes of our time. The staff refused to put back the minutes we had lost so we were not able to finish our second game, which wouldn't have been an issue if we had those minutes. It was an overall very frustrating experience.
