Taqueria Los Compadres

Surprisingly good hole in the wall. I would not call the staff friendly, but they are not hostile lol. Food makes up for the poor service.I recommend calling in and getting it to go because the service can make it uncomfortable. The food is good though.I will be back to try some of the other menu items.

This place is authentic! Muy rico. The carne (meat) selection was diverse and so flavorful. We had their pollo, carnitas, carne asada and al pastor. Each was flavor. My favorite was the carnitas tacos. The salsa were also excellent. Mucho sabor. The aqua frescas were fresh and delicious. The agua de Jamaica tasted like my mother in law's. I personally loved their tamarido. The best I've had in a long time. We plan to come back during our trip. If you live in the area you must go. As a Californian and Mexican-American, this place is the real deal.

My wife and I stopped in this cozy taqueria recently and we really enjoyed it. We like to find restaurants just like this one. Good food, service and reasonably priced.

Late post: They always have good customer service. This entree was really good. Glad I had time to actually sit down and enjoy this entree. Look at this masterpiece!

Fantastic establishment! Quite hidden and not marketed well but I implore everyone to try this establishment. Make sure to try one of their delicious fresh juices (agua fresca) that they make daily.

Delicious Authentic tacos!!! Great place and great prices! Lots of choices to pick from with great meat selections. It's really hard to find authentic Mexican taquerias out in the east end but this place hits the spot.

If you want to eat authentic Mexican food that hits come here, if you want pay overprice for mediocre Tex mex go to the pretty Mexican places in town. This spot has Authentic Mexican food, the service is fast, food comes out hot, hand made tortillas & gorditas. Food has good taste, this is actual Mexican food all my construction guys, this is the spot.

When you come in it's VERY cold. The restaurant is small. We came in fairly early in the morning there was no people inside the restaurant. We sat ourselves. The waitress gave us one menu and there was 3 of us. We had to take turns looking at the menu which I found kind of annoying. She stood there while we were actively looking at the menu which I found kind of weird normally if you see someone is not ready you give them time and come back but no she was standing there. And then when our food came out we never saw her again. She did not come back to check on us. I ordered the chicken chilaquiles. At first sight it looked presentable. After tasting it they were decent. For my personal preference I like my chilaquiles to be wet (with the sauce) but this one's were very dry. The sauce was bland and not spicy! If you're Hispanic you know chilaquiles are known to be spicy! So that was a let down. I asked for extra sauce which I thought would make my chilaquiles better but not really , that sauce was also bland and non spicy. After a while I gave up and didn't finish them. You pay at the counter. While paying there was this lady asking for donations for her dead relative who lives in Guatemala which idk about you but if I'm eating the last thing I want is someone to ask me for money. My experience was 3/10 they have a lot of things to work on. I cannot say I will be returning, there's nothing that makes this stand out from the other 1000 Mexican restaurants in town.

Good food, good prices, nice staff, a hole in the wall restaurant. The quesadilla was excellent.
