Happened to be on the west side of town today. And after reading Sweet Peaches' reviews and enjoying a cookie at a past event, I decided to give it a quick try.I came in around 2 p.m., so it was understandably empty except for one customer and a couple of employees. But each of these people were beyond inviting and friendly, chatting me up a bit. I opted for the chicken salad on croissant and chicken noodle soup to go. And because this was my first visit, one of the employees offered me a free cookie. See what I mean -- so nice! The sandwich included a large portion of chicken salad on a soft croissant. I love chicken salad with grapes in it, and this had that. It also had onions, as well as tomatoes and lettuce. If onions aren't your thing, ask for these to be taken off. And the soup was a nice surprise. It was more peppery than other chicken broths I've had, which I liked. And if I had been battling a cold or had needed some extra warmth, this would have definitely done the trick. I also wonder if Sweet Peaches puts flour in their broth because it was creamy -- another plus.I was in and out fast, with an inexpensive yet filling lunch. It was all in all a positive experience that brightened my day.

The food was absolutely delicious and very affordable, and the staff and patrons couldn't have been friendlier. I love that the restaurant is a strong part of the community. My friends and I were very impressed by everything we got. The white chili had great flavor and big chunks of chicken, the club sandwich was huge and had great flavor, and the seasoned fries were very tasty. I will be back!

Sweet Peaches is awesome! I got to check this spot out, and listen to Sweet Peaches (Pam Haines, the owner) herself talk about her restaurant and her mission, on a food tour of the area with Center for Neighborhoods. She shared some of her delicious baked goods with us, and everything was phenomenal! I can't wait to make it back out to this spot for a full meal. When you visit Sweet Peaches it feels like visiting a family members house for a meal, very welcoming. Plus, when you dine at Sweet Peaches you can feel good about giving your business to a local spot that's working to bring quality food into an area of town that doesn't have many quality dining options. And Pam Haines is a real advocate for change and betterment in the area. She's working hard outside of her restaurant as well. She takes in school uniforms and cleans and mends them to donate to children in need. And she shows movies outside at the back of her restaurant during nice weather to give the kids in the neighborhood something to do. So, not only is the food great, the business and the owner are an awesome part of the Russell neighborhood that everyone should support! If you haven't made your way out to Sweet Peaches I highly recommend it. It's worth the trip!

Listen, before I start my review I just wanna say that the decor was great and everything I'm about to say is with honesty and respect..... walked in and it was a bit in disarray with taking customers orders. The owner and cashier were just chatting it up with non customers and customers that already ordered.... no problem. I get up there and order the food. I ordered a Blt with turkey and "The Murph" .... The cashier says the strawberry lemonade is great and that we should try it. I ordered 2. She tells me the total and I go to pay, she says oh I didn't ring the drinks and I forgot to tell you the lemonades are 5 dollars a piece. I say fine and pay.... It takes almost an hour to make the food and when she gives it to us it's wrong, they gave half our order to someone else, he then opens it and it's dripping sloppy, she take it's from him ( all while still open) and says oh this is yours. So far this is two people breathing on and handling our food with no gloves and no washed hands. The food is served in styrofoam and they are plated upside down. The sausage was burnt to a crisp, the potatoes close to burnt, just sloppy. We were going to a funeral so we didn't have any more time to wait to be fixed.... I have heard really good things about Sweet Peaches and the owner Pam and I hate I had such a bad experience. Everyone's food was either wrong or taking a long time... maybe it was the day..... That BLT WAS BUSSIN though.

This place, humble and simple as it is, truly represents southern flavors and southern hospitality. The owners are very gracious and delightful ladies. I went there with a group, and we not only had really good food, but also a great time in an informal and pleasant setting. When the owner discovered it was the first time in Kentucky for all of us, she announced free cookies and pastries for all. I hope they remain in business for a long time, and that they do well as they deserve to.
