I'm standing in an Amish store writing a review on my iPhone. I feel like such a rebel. If you need cheddar cheese powder, cumin, curry and lard based goat milk soap made in the local creek, you can't beat this place. Would have given them three stars, but they earned an extra star for having horehound candy.UPDATE: When I went to post this review, I saw that I had No Service! I guess they have ways to handle rebels like me.

I make BBC a trip once or twice a year. I always go in the fall to stick up on spices and ingredients for Thanksgiving and Christma. Thespices aruch fresher than what you can buy a a local supermarket and they last a long time holding their flavor. I've had cinnamon for 4 or 5 years, (precovid). I was running low, so bought some at Kroger. I added it into the clear container with my remaining cinnamon. The cinnamon that I bought at Kroger was much lighter and less flavorful. There cheese today was almost $3 cheaper sliced in their deli. I tried some onion cheese. it was creamy white cheese and tastes more like chives blended in. it is very tasty. I Aldo drive to the store to buy frozen sour cherries, because supermarkets where I live don't have them. They are the only store within an hour and a half where I can buy them for my homemade cherry pies. I also picked up a darling baby bonnet for my new granddaughter. it was hand made and sewn beautifulLu. The drive from Nicholasville is pretty and most roads are paved nicely. plan your trip and print directions, because I couldn't get a signal. check out the other Amish owned businesses in the area. Everything is quality made or harvested. Laverne's is on the corner and it was higher and didn't have the selection that this store has. I've been a loyal customer for over 2 decades. While you are in Liberty; eat at the Bread of Life. The food is delicious and proceeds fund the Galilean Home for Children. ~ Kathy Martin
