This was our first time here. I got the catfish dinner. For $14.99 I got one decent size piece of fish and two sides. I would have expected two pieces of fish.The sides were bland. I'm not big on adding salt and pepper, but I had to add seasoning to my mashed potatoes. My husband got the barbecue pulled pork sandwich, and barely got any chips with his, he said his was bland as well for being soul food. I expected some seasoning!! Our waitress, however, was excellent.

This food is so good! I went there with a coworker and we both loved it. He told me the other day he went again while he was working out in the field and I was pretty jealous. I highly recommend this place.

Stopped in for lunch. Isiah promptly greeted me and offered me a menu. He asked if it was my first time here, and I said yes. He told me to take my time, and let him know if I had any questions. I decided on the pulled pork plate. I ordered the potato salad, mac n cheese, and the cornbread. It was generous portions. The Mac n cheese was amazing and full of flavor. The potato salad was really good as well. I liked that they finely diced the green pepper and red onions, so they weren't overpowering. The cornbread was flavorful and not dry. It had a hint of sweet, which made it perfect! The pulled pork had the perfect amount of smoke flavor but not to over power the flavor of the meat. It is in a bbq sauce, and it's not a dry rub (I'm noting this for those who prefer dry rub and you put your own sauce on it). The bbq sauce had good flavor. My only suggestion is to have two options one with sauce and one without. Staff was Amazing (Isaiah checked on me frequently), establishment was very clean! I wish I had tried it sooner! I will definitely be back!!

Stopped here on my way back to Chicago. Best ribs I've ever had hands down! The ribs were the biggest and juiciest I've ever had. The meat fell off the bone, and it was full of flavor. I also had pulled work which was very good and full of flavor. The staff makes you feel at home, we were greeted by the chief came out to check on us and ended up giving us free banana cake. Phenomenal experience and a must stop if you're in the Charleston area!

Outstanding! Seasoned to perfection! Our only complaint is we ordered it via door dash and no condiments or utensils were sent with order.

If I had my choice I wouldn't eat anywhere else. The food the service All A1! If I had to recommend one thing I couldn't, not just one, the entire menu and meal is outstanding!! Shout out to the owners servers and staff! I'll be back sooner than later. Thank you for giving me such an amazing authentic Soul-food experience...

Tried Sumthin' Good Soul Food today and we're sorry we didn't find this place sooner. The food was amazing, service exceptional, and the prices are crazy low. New favorite place for sure! Pictured: - 3 meat platter with fried chicken, pulled pork, and rib with collard greens, baked beans, and cornbread- 3 meat platter with fried chicken, bbq chicken, and brisket with Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes & gravy, and a roll.- Peach Cobbler!

Spent $34. Got the 3 meat combo. She got the fried chicken combo. They were out of everything. Brisket, white meat chicken, cornbread, green beans, and mashed potatoes. Those are just the things we tried to order. My 3 meat combo was garbage. I've had great soul food, this wasn't it. She liked the fried chicken. A 5 minute drive home, everything was cold already.
