Spring Street is a great neighborhood watering hole that has the right mix of good food, good beer selection, decent cocktails, and a lot of room to spread out. This is also one of the few places near the Highlands that has a lot of TVs and takes sports seriously...but I wouldn't consider it a traditional sports bar. It really is a neighborhood place, and quite an institution. I went there for the opening NFL Sunday. Every game was on, including my Saints. So I took a seat in the back corner near a small TV that the game was playing. It felt very cavernous from where I was sitting. But I also had three TV's right in my view, which was perfect. There were a number of Bills, Bengals, and Bears fan, so it was boisterous time.I started with jumbo wings, and I decided on Korean BBQ. The sauce was good, and while I don't need wings submerged in juices, I would've appreciated a little bit more flavor. That said --- these wings are jumbo, and they're pretty good. The fries, which are $6 and plentiful, were also delicious. The beers and Moscow Mule were exactly what I needed. You order everything, drinks and food, from the bar. Service was very efficient and the bartender working the bar, seemingly by himself, was awesome. He even picked up an empty for me and took my drink order. He also looked at my Saints jersey and knew where I needed to go before I asked. That's the type of experience you can only really get in touristy areas or neighborhood bars. If we lived in Irish Hill, this would be a regular haunt for me. The moderately high prices and far walk from my house are the only things preventing me from coming more. I think food, drink options, and experience are worth the journey to Spring Street.

I came here for Burger Week; it was the greatest experience ever. The food was great, the employees were SUPER nice and helpful, and the ambiance was great. It's the best place to go to get burgers. I would consider coming here

Came here for Louisville Burger Week this year. Have heard of and passed this place but have never been in. I was definitely ready to see what the buzz was all about because, I have heard some good things about this place. There is street parking but, they also have small private parking behind their building. I came in through the back and seated myself at the bar. It wasn't crazy busy at the time I went because it was about 8:45 at night but, they had a pretty good crowd. I got service in a pretty reasonable amount of time and I did have to wait for my burger and fries. With it being burger week, wait times being long were expected. It was definitely worth the wait. I did have a beer while waiting. This burger was cooked perfectly and so were the fries. This was my favorite burger for burger week, everything was perfect and I had no complaints. The staff was great and I definitely liked the inside of the bar. It looked more like a restaurant/bar type of place but, not a bad thing of course. I like that it is well lit and not dark like most bars . I will definitely return here at some point in time.

We decided to try a new place for us that was local and low key. It was my wife's birthday and simply wanted some unpretentious food. As regular customers of The Payne Street Bakehouse across the street we watched as this place had reopened and heard some positive reviews. It has the look and feel of Hauck's Corner in Germantown if that helps. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich with a $2 up charge for onion rings. I went with the fish sandwich and also decided on onion rings. Both sandwiches were good but a bit messy. The onion rings were a hit. Good choice for us. Service was excellent and our food was served quickly. My wife was offered a free piece of cheesecake, however, we just had cheesecake from Big Nita's a couple of days ago. We appreciate the gesture. They do have happy hour Monday through Friday and trivia night on Monday. And thanks again to the staff who noticed my wife forgot her purse and brought it to our car. We will return in the future.

Cute low key bar with decent bar food. A great stop to start the night with friends (plus, they're really close to Headliners -- pre-show hangout spot). The price was good too. Service was quick. We were only one of two groups here this night. Would do again. :)

My husband are here about once every week or two. It's a little hole in the all place that's perfect to watch a game. Service is great, and the bartenders are always attentive. The food is amazing, and the wings are out this world. The queso is really good too. Just a chill bar with great food and beer. What more could you want?

We tried out Spring Street Bar and Grill for the first time since they reopened during Burger Week. Service is order at the counter, take a number, and they bring your food out to you. Nothing we had was bad but nothing was impressive either. We had their regular burgers with crinkle cut fries. Both were decent. We also shared an order of onion rings which looked fabulous but could have used more seasoning. They just lacked something. That's actually pretty true for everything. It all had potential that it didn't live up to. I will also note that I don't think their smash burger was quite thin enough to be considered one. My husband had a Guinness and I had a mule. Both were just fine.

Finally made my way to Spring Street! We came for brunch during the weekend, right when they opened. It wasn't busy and we sat down right away.We sat in the bar area and it looks almost the same as it used to before changing ownership, which is great! Kept all the charm.Ian and I split the chicken tenders basket, which was enough for the two of us (maybe 2-3 tenders each) and we also got fries. I wish the fries were crispier but they tasted good. I'll certainly be back! Love me some bar food.

Ate at Spring Street for dinner after a distillery tour. The smash burgers were very good, the fries were fine, the chips and queso entree wasn't anything to write home about, but all were well portioned and the staff was very friendly. It is more of a "self serve" setup where you sit down and look at the menu, then go up to the counter and order what you want, then go get it from the pick up window when it's ready. The soft drinks are from a fountain and also self serve. We didn't get any cocktails this time around. If you're looking for a good burger and quick service, I'd give it try.
