Southland Lanes

We did Thanksgiving Bowling at Southland Lanes and had a great experience! The entire facility is super clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Pricing is fair and reasonable.Bar drinks were cheap and the grill had a pretty solid pizza!

What a fun bowling alley! It's a typical bowling alley, but the food is really good! I like the way you can order using the QR code from your table. They have bumpers for the lanes for kids and ramps to help the littles get the ball down the lane. Went with my daughter's kindergarten class for a field trip. The kids had a blast!

This was my first and second visit to this bowling establishment. They have 40 lanes, a Pro Shop, an arcade area, two pool tables, a lounge for adult beverage partaking and a fairly large snack bar. Where you bowl is different from the traditional horseshoe arrangement of seating with the scoring screen behind the ball return rack. This place has mini tables with four swing out seats and the scoring menu attached to the table. Every other lane is offset from their neighbor lanes. I found it confusing. I don't understand what all the tables are for in the bowling area unless they allow food and drinks down by the bowlers. If so, it would be the first time I've seen that. On the second visit I saw that indeed food and beverage was being utilized by the bowlers on these tables.It took me a couple of games to get used to the set up. The ball return is much closer to the foul line than what I'm used to therefore throwing off my stance but once I made the adjustment, I did much better. I bowled on a Monday and Thursday at my home lanes, then here on Friday. Bowling two days in a row really put soreness into my shoulder. After resting my shoulder and rotator cuff over the weekend, we returned today, Monday, for more games. I bowled a more consistent higher three game average today.The electronic scoring system is overdue for an upgrade in my opinion. I would like to see multiple options for scoring formats with at least one option that tells you your ball speed.We ordered a brownie bowl from the snack bar. It was okay and satisfied our sugar craving for some kind of dessert after eating lunch.

As a kid, bowling alleys always seemed like seedy establishments with a smoke filled environment and drunken fights constantly breaking out spontaneously. But I've got to say, Southland is a family friendly environment that is just plain fun.Bowling ain't cheap. Anywhere. So you want to feel as if you're appreciated for patronizing the establishment. The employees here are first rate. From check in to the snack bar to maintenance, everyone is so happy and helpful. It's as if they've been through the Chick-fil-A training program. They act like they're genuinely happy you're there. And, they keep the restrooms super clean. Imagine that.We've eaten the pizza and pretzels here and they ain't half bad. I mean, it's a bowling alley so I'm not looking for New York City quality pies, but I think you'll be satisfied with the quality of it. So, it's a great place to make an afternoon of it. Grab something to eat and play a couple games with the family. And, unlike the bowling alleys of my youth, instead of being seedy, you've got a family friendly environment without the profane graffiti.

This is the only bowling alley in the city. It is in a pretty central location. We love to come out here for Christmas Day each year for family fun. They had a special up to 6 people on a lane, shoes for eveyone for 2 hours and 1 pizza and 1 pitcher of soda for $60. This was a great deal on Christmas. Our family is very competitive and some of them may or may not have gotten their feelings hurt, but we won't say any names here. Just know that we spare no feelings and take no prisoners when it comes to bowling. They have a decent menu of items to eat as well. The pizza is amazing! The buffalo wings are more like chicken nuggets, I think we may get something else next time, but we went back for seconds of the cheese sticks. Everything is fresh to order, so go order your food when you get there, as it will take a bit of time to prepare it. But who doesn't like hot food.

Fun time bowling tonight! I enjoy the lanes here but with the closing of other area bowling alleys this one is extremely busy and hard to get a lane. Thankfully tonight we had a large group and were able to reserve a few lanes. You have to have 12 people / the equivalent of two lanes to be able to reserve anything. They have leagues almost every night. So if you aren't on a league you have to wait until 9-9:30 to bowl through the week. I wish You could reserve one lane. That would make it nice. We have tried to bowl here a few times over the last few weeks and have left due to 2hr plus wait times and there is no call ahead. Outside of the busyness it's a nice place to bowl. I do enjoy coming here.

I bowl here on Monday and Tuesday in a league. I enjoy bowling and have a great time. My son also bowls here too! My family enjoys bowling and always have a great time. The hamburgers are good and I often eat here for lunch after bowling! The lanes are good mostly but every now and then some are closed that need repairs. A employee fixes problems in a timely manner usually when there is a lane malfunction.

Inside the bowling alley is nice and updated, there are screens all across the back. They had someone walking around at all times cleaning. The staff were not friendly- they didn't do anything wrong but something isn't right... it's unusual for everyone to seem so unhappy . The lanes worked perfectly, we never had any trouble or difficulty with the returns or pins. The outside needs some curb appeal. I will return and we had a great time but there is some room for improvement.

It's a bowling alley. It's in need for a bit of repair and cleaning. The tables stay dirty after people leave, balls are left at empty lanes, and there's dust hanging from the ceilings. Prices seem fair. The food is good with a decent bar. The man working the register for the lanes seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but there and was rude. With a bit of upkeep and polite employees this would be 5 stars.
