Sorrella Gelateria is an absolute gem in downtown Lexington! This locally owned spot specializes in handcrafted, small-batch Italian gelato and sorbet, and you can taste the passion in every bite. The gelato is incredibly silky and smooth, with each flavor bursting with richness and authenticity. You can tell it's made with care, and the texture alone is enough to keep me coming back. They rotate their flavors often, and I love checking their Instagram to see what's available. But honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here--every flavor I've tried has been phenomenal. Whether you're in the mood for something fruity, indulgent, or a bit of both, there's always a winner on the menu. A word of advice: go early! They tend to run out before closing, and it's easy to see why. Sorrella is a must-visit for any gelato lover, and it never disappoints!

I love gelato and I'm always down to try out new places. I stopped by here after seeing reviews on Yelp. There were 8 options for gelato with some being sorbets. I like sorbets but today I just tried 3 of their gelatos selections and I was very pleased. They had the option to purchase to go containers as well. Service was great and the atmosphere was quiet when I went. I'd definitely recommend for gelato fiends like myself.

A lovely little spot tucked away on the best dining street in Lexington. The service and smiles are authentic and warming. Amazing flavors that really transport you to the Mediterranean with the smoothest and creamiest gelato.

I passed Sorella's on the way to a gallery and decided to go back for a treat. I had not been to the medication which is a big improvement on the original. There's a nice outdoor area of tables with umbtellas, and a few parking spaces. The batches are limited which is fine, but if you're going to call yourself a Gelateria, at least have the flavors of Italy. I selected the Turkish Coffee, which was good, but. I've eaten my fill of gelato all over Italy and, oh yes, I'm Italian. That's all I have to say.105

Absolutely spectacular gelato! I would've never thought I'd find such high quality artisan gelato in the middle of Lexington - a pleasant surprise no doubt! We came in close to closing and they thankfully still had a few flavors left - I had strawberry sorbet with chocolate and my fiancé had strawberry sorbet with lemon ginger sorbet. The server was friendly and quick to get our order, and the ambiance is very cute, light, and cozy. The gelato was truly exceptional and I look forward to coming back again all summer long!

One of the best places to get a sweet treat. They have amazing flavors that they change daily. They are very unique and so fresh and everything I got was delicious. They were super sweet there and let us try some samples since it was our first time there. They don't have a lot of parking outside but it's a great place to go for the summer because they have outside seating.

Flavors rotate daily so check their instagram story if you want to know before you stop in! Everything is amazing and they sell half pints and pints if you want to take some home! Italian Lemon Cookie has been my favorite flavor! Outdoor seating is perfect when it's nice out and the service is always amazing :)

Such a cute little place tucked into a neighborhood with delicious gelato!! It reminded me of gelato in Florence. I had to try three flavors: hazelnut, tiramisu, and chocolate strawberry. My mom got the same except for the raspberry instead of strawberry. All we're great!

Finally made my way to Sorella's and I can't believe it took me so long. I got a x-small scoop of the Lemon Wedding Cake and it was PERFECTION. Omg, the little pieces of cake were my favorite part. Can't wait to go back again and try all the amazing flavors! Tip: go earlier in the day so you can have the best pick of flavors. We went an hour before closing and some of the flavors were out.

The local gelato place of note apparently moved to this location recently, which is in a residential area but walkable from downtown. It has indoor and outdoor seating. The flavor selection when I arrived was not huge, with maybe a dozen or so flavors (and it did appear to be all dairy gelato), some of which had run out at the end of the day. Of course, you might want the place that runs out over the place that makes extra and sells it the next day. I ended up with a little cup of peach and a peanut butter Nutella flavor. I didn't really see the need to have peanut butter and Nutella in the same bite, but like a lot of people I will shamelessly buy anything with the word Nutella on it and the flavor combination, primarily peanut with streaks of the slightly hazelnut and mostly sugary paste adding color. The peach was as richly flavored as I might have hoped, and very summer-y.I'm not sure they'll ever be the go-to in a pretty strong local ice cream scene, but it seemed to me that the smoothness and flavor choices set them apart from the others enough to be worth a visit.
