Smyrna inn is a long time staple of the highview area of Louisville Kentucky. Has kinda a neighborhood bar feel to it with a smallish parking lot and inside. I've only been here in a few occasions in the past but the workers and patrons are always a nice. Traditional bar and does offer some food options with some cookouts they have for bikers sometimes. I've been here on one of this nights and the hot dogs were good. The design of this bar is unique. My buddy and me joke it reminded us of walking into our grandmas as ir has a downstairs basement that is small with low ceilings and a pool table. Overall pretty solid place. Im way past my bar hoping prime days but sometimes me and the buddies like to go to a more kid back place like this one and hang out.

Nice small neighborhood bar. We went here one weekend and they had a band playing and cheap drinks. My friends and I had a blast! I will be going back and I recommend you do as well. It is really unique. It is like someones house is now a bar and you are having a house party. 4 out of 5 stars.

Overall nice place, nice people, place is is clean, bartenders are friendly and do a good job. When it gets busy parking can be difficult. Overall one of my favorite places to visit. They also have live music on occasions. Drinks are great, also have a pool table. People who visit are nice and friendly to talk to. Know quite a few people who visit there.

I like that this bar makes most dive bars I've visited in Louisville look classy.I dig the regulars and their circa 1983 windbreaker fashion.I find it hilarious that Law and Order reruns were on one of the TV's.I love the regulars, like grandma in the corner wearing 2lbs of makeup and 10lbs of costume jewelry.I love the cheaper-than-dirt drinks.I love the no nonsense bartender.I'll be back

This bar....it's like a good hug. It's like...putting on your favorite pair of giant sweatpants, right out of the dryer. It's like....Olive Garden's old slogan..."When you're here, you're family."And this was my first time here!I have friends who live in this neck of the woods, and this time we met somewhere near where *they* live. We had low expectations. LOW. It's a grungy looking place right next to a bait shop that was bound to be chock full of regulars. Would they be all shifty-eyed-staring at these unfamiliar youngin's (comparatively) waltzing on in? Quite the opposite! We were welcomed with open arms....LITERALLY. One of the friendliest group of "regulars" I have ever encountered anywhere. Especially for a first visit. (I get the impression they wouldn't mind getting some new blood around the place...plus, come on....my friends and I are BOATLOADS of fun!!)The decor inside is nicer than I would have expected from the outside. I'm not saying it's fancy-schmany-pants. But it's comfortable and cozy and well-lit.Drinks are cheap and strong. Bartender Lindy is on the ball. The patrons are fabulous. The juke box is stocked with some great tunes. I believe in general they have live music. And the place has HISTORY (it's haunted, you know?).If I lived in this part of town....I don't think I would ever leave this place.Needless to say....they know how to make a great first impression.

Wonderful neighborhood bar. It's obviously a three-story, converted house, but you can see the stage and TVs from every angle. The bar, while not expansive, is wonderfully staffed by fantastic, heavy-pouring bartenders. The drinks are reasonably priced. They don't serve food, but you can bring your own stuff in if you're hungry. The juke box plays a great selection and it's busy enough you always make a friend, but quiet enough you can always find a seat and talk. It's a perfect bar and I can't wait to use the outdoor patio. It's also a good place to catch a concert or watch a game. UK and UofL fans are equally welcome. My friends and I get together there twice a month. Love, love, love it!
