Decided on a semi quick meal before we got on the road. Never heard of slim chickens and liked the look of the logo! Super friendly service with a smile! Clean seating areas, cute themed decor and terrific food. There is plenty of choices. The chicken and waffles are perfect. The desserts are fantastic. A great stop in the Lexington area. Lemonade is amazing as well!

First time here was yesterday. Ordered a 4 tender meal, a kids macaroni and cheese, and a 5 & 5 (which is 5 wings and 5 tenders).The good: the chicken tenders. They are actually fresh and seasoned well. I like the idea of raising canes but the chicken is soooo bland it's never good. Here the chicken is seasoned and just perfect. The macaroni is a white cheese sauce and it was also exceptional. The toast is good. The so so: Wings alright nothing super special but not bad. The slim sauce is like zaxbys or canes but thicker. It's okay. The bad: they gave me 3 out of 4 tenders. They missed a sauce. And the fries are crummy. Soggy, limp, & flavorless.I contacted them about my missing tender and they offered me a free meal. I went back today and ordered more than just the free meal but since it was free they gave me the tiniest tenders.. I am not going to contact them again. It was free I get it. But it was lame. The customer service is average. They were quick to address my issue via email but the store is slow moving and like I said just average. Definitely not Taco Bell customer service! I will definitely return but I'll make sure I have my sauces and right amount of tenders before leaving the premises.

Okay, hear me out. It's not quite a 3 and not quite a 4... so 3.5. They are pretty consistent. My husband loves this place, so yeah, I end up here often. Their bone in wings are what we come for. The wings cooked extra crispy are where it's at! But if you follow any of my reviews you know what it takes for me to rate a wing a 5! It's wings, plus sauce, plus dip, equals the best wing ever... the blue cheese is lack luster. Meh... so I have to settle for ranch everytime which is disappointing. But the ranch and the sweet red chili is a match made in Heaven which keeps me coming back. I also tried the fried mushrooms, they okay. I do however like the dill chicken sandwich!!! Its actually one of the best thing on the menu, though I think it's a limited time item (inset crying emoji here). The salads are legit and make me happy. Tho I wish there was another non-carb or vegetable side option. Welp, I thinks that's it! Ustill next time.

This was my first time at ANY Slim Chickens location, ever. My sons in Tallahassee rave about it as nearly euphoric. That's a lot of hype for some chicken, boys. I did find my 5 & 5 of tenders and wings to be GOOD, but not orgasmic. That's my fault for letting my boys set my expectations. On par with other chicken chains, in my opinion... except for the Closed on Sunday kingdom, of course. They still reign supreme. Nice. Clean. Definitely "made to order" piping hot! I'll see you again, Slim, just maybe not in Lexington. See you closer to home soon!

Very pleased with my chicken experience here. Had a very juicy and flavorful chicken sandwich. I didn't get much heat as it was a cayenne ranch chicken sandwich but the chicken itself was flavorful and juicy, and I loved the crispy onion. I also ordered the sandwich as a meal so it came with fries and a drink. The fries were nice and crispy with the right amount of seasoning. The peach tea was also tasty. For the amount of food I got, I think the price was reasonable and it was presented well .The place itself was VERY clean and had a good layout. It had a few TVs with ESPN playing in the background and also had some outdoor space.

Slim Chickens has quickly entered my list of go-to restaurants in our area. Couldn't be more delighted to have them in our area.The restaurant is clean, trendy, not overly loud (usually has a game on in the background) and fast. The chicken tenders are good, but their sauce selection gives them bonus points. I'm a fan of the Korean bbq, red chili, and the cayenne ranch. We also love that you can sub out their fries (which are still good) with fried pickles. Not to mention that our kids love their Mac n cheese. It's real pasta in a white cheese sauce. No cheese crust. I mean, I like cheese crust, but kids can be picky.And they won't break the bank either. A family of four can eat here for $30. These days, that's an amazing deal.This location also has an enclosed outdoor eating area if you're into the patio atmosphere.

I was excited to discover a new spot opening up in what used to be an eyesore off Richmond Road. However, my excitement quickly diminished after having my first go at Slim's. Here is why:1. The food and taste are not "original" and mostly...well, taste the same as any other chicken location2. I was disappointed that I could not only order a la carte but instead had to order a whole meal. 3. The sauces could be more flavorful.4. And the tenders...are slim. Not as big and juicy as Zaxby's or Cane's.Now, for the good:1. They have an open patio, which is excellent for us who like to eat outside and enjoy the weather (when it's not scorching hot or humid)2. The food is fresh but needs a kick, a "wow factor" to stand alone from the rest.3. The place is spotless! And Dave B. is right, nothing compares to the Closed on Sunday's kingdom. All in all, this place is not bad, but I would not make it my go-to.

Hilarious, at this place can't even do good in the bad part of town where it was expected to since it attempts to cater and patronize to low income.They tried at least...just another gross non-flavor chicken house unfortunately reminiscent of Popeyes, Church's, or Bojangles. They even tried a 'give it away for free' gimmick before opening, but people still don't like it. The standard to be met around here is Gus's or Chic-fil-A, this place shouldn't even be mentioned in the same conversation.

Chicken tenders were tiny and bland. Fries were soggy, and toast was hard. Spent $10 on this box. Would not recommend the garlic sauce either. Fine customer service for a fast food restaurant. Nothing notable for ambiance. Would not return.

First visit, everything we tried was delicious. Chicken is fresh not frozen. One of the few places with fried mushrooms which for us is a plus. The manager sat and chatted with us for about 10 minutes getting to know us. Very friendly atmosphere where you don't feel like you are being rushed out the door
