Shima's Family Restaraunt

It was amazing the food was great service was fast and the food was hot and fresh. The ambiance outstanding. Definitely coming back.

Outstanding food! Shima's offers a little bit of everything to satisfy a variety of tastes. Burgers and sandwiches to Asian foods. We have yet to have anything there that hasn't been good. I love their variety of eggrolls...nothing else like them anywhere else. Good portions at good prices. You won't be disappointed. Owner makes you feel like family!

Perfectly seasoned and carefully prepared describes everything we've ordered here since our first visit 3 weeks ago--hamburger, hotdogs, beer-battered fries, onion rings, hot turkey sandwich, and yesterday's specials--chicken salad on a grilled croissant with fruit and spicy pork with fried rice. Atmosphere is relaxed, service was great, and you definitely get your money's worth.

A friend and I had lunch there today. This was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had eating out. Our server was amazing and was helpful with our choice for lunch. She couldn't have been better in any way. Our food was delicious, I truly enjoyed it. The owner came out and he was such a gracious nice man. He gave us a couple of things to try and took time to talk to us. The whole experience was great. We'll be going back soon. We both had Hiroshima and you simply must try the ice tea!

very friendly family owned restaurant. The food is delicious, and very very reasonably priced. You're going to leave with a full belly and a smile on your face. I guarantee it.

Always enjoy Shima's. Had to stop by their new location this week and check it out. I got there early to ensure a seat; worked as they were packed when I left. I got the kamikaze burger and fries, good as always.

Wonderful people. My wife and I stopped for a late lunch, had the special. Grill cheese and soup. I had chili and she had potato soup. Finished with a blueberry egg roll and she had an apple egg roll. Everything was wonderful!! It's a neat place with brick and tin walls.

This is probably the best restaurant in Nitro. We were passing though the area and stoped in for lunch. It was one of the best hotdogs I've ever eaten. All the food looked absolutely amazing. I am desperate to come back to try more. The only negative thing is the wait times were a little high and

First time I've tried Shimas after hearing nothing but good things. I ordered it off Grub Hub. I'm glad to say that it was all true. The food was still pretty warm when I got it. Packaged weel, no spills. I think this was the best hot bologna sandwich I've had other than gmaws. The bologna was cut THICK! And the sauce was delicious!! We also tried the Hiroshima.. the sauce was great and it was very filling. Side of bacon fried rice.. delish! For dessert we tired a cherry cheesecake eggroll... perfection!!! This will be a new go to for me.. i will have dreams about that hot bologna sandwich!

My mom and I went there after reading the mostly positive reviews.We got some egg rolls that seemed to be stuffed with cabbage and carrots and nothing else. VERY bland. No ginger taste, no onion taste.My mom got a hot dog that seemed overcooked and the bun was falling apart and she kept spilling the toppings out of it on her shirt. She said the hot dogs at the Dairy Queen were 10x better.I got the Hiroshima. The rice ball itself was excellent but then it set in this bland vaguely sweet sauce with a bunchy of soggy mushrooms and vegetables. I kept thinking how much better it would have been on top of some crispy stir fried veggies but like the egg rolls the whole thing was super bland even though I ordered the spicy. The service was only ok, we had to ask for silverware. Overall, I was really hoping for more,
