A family operated farm open for several weekends in the fall to experience pumpkins in the field (you pick) or already picked for purchase. Hayrides, corn maze, hale bays for clumbing, and tire swings. They have numerours flavors of homemade jams, jellies, and breads for purchase. Helen's homemade german chocolate cakw might be the best I've ever eaten. In addition, there are hot dogs, sloppy joes, chili, bean soup and corn bread and nachos for sale. Beans and cornbread were pretty tasty. A covered, open air dining area and plenly of picnic tables for outdoor dining. Plenty of parking and the friendliest and hardest working owners and workers all around. Family friendly. Last weekend of the season, but put it on your calendar for next fall. The family are also at the local farmers market all summer and fall selling the jellies, jams, fresh eggs, beef, breads, etc.

This is a gem. We considered going to Huber's but it's far and there is always such a large crowd. I am so glad we decided to give this place a go. It's a one lane road to get to, but it's worth the trouble. They have numerous little things to do. You can feed the goats, check out the chickens, swing on the tire swings, jump around on the round hay bales, head into the corn maze, have a hay ride to the pumpkin patch, etc. They also have a little snack area. We came late on a Sunday, so I missed the beans and cornbread but the strawberry cake was SO good. I would definitely recommend supporting this awesome family oriented little farm.

Shady Lane is awesome. This is our go to place to pick pumpkins with the kids in the fall. The staff are always friendly and the prices for the hayride, the corn maze, and the pumpkins are very reasonable. They also have homemade food available to purchase and eat in their adorable barn/dining area and everything I've had has been delicious. They have chili, beans and cornbread plus hot dogs, and nachos. They also have a nice selection of freshly baked cookies and other baked goods. My two girls ages 4 and 5 this year had a blast playing on the big hay bales and feeding the chickens. They also loved the tire swings. They tend to be a bit less crowded than some of the competitors which I love and the hayride to the pumpkin patch is much more quaint than the one at Hubers probably because it's just so much of a smaller operation. Overall I love this place and I wish they hadn't been out of their awesome sweet pickle relish on our last trip because I could eat a ton of it!
