Funky little spot, the day I visited I was greeted by a friendly pit bull as I entered, the staff was lounging at the counter and the place was cleanish, definitely earthy. I ordered the Pupusas of course, an empanada of sorts, a folded over Gordita... filled with some type of meat. Pretty good. The only truly sketchy part was the meal came with pickled coleslaw when it arrived at the table it was in a large jar a huge amount of slaw in this jar. Was this a communal container? As they provided no utensils to remove this slaw. My brave wife actually removed some with her fork and ate it lol.In inclusion if you were looking for a mild adventure senior pupusa's might be the place. The folks were friendly and it was fun, it's worth checking out.

If you've never had a pupusa before, Senor Pupusas is a great place to have your introduction! The staff is really nice and the pupusa's are bomb! Just a warning that they're on the larger side, so definitely don't get too many if you're expecting smaller ones.Panchitos ice cream is in the same building which is a plus because you can get dessert after you're done!

Senor Pupusas shares its space with panchitos. I stopped in today as I wanted to try a pupusa and to get a couple of street tacos. Since it was my first time trying a pupusa, I decided to stick with the queso variety so I could really get a feel for what it's supposed to taste like. I also ordered a couple of carnitas tacos. Pupusas as listed on google as being a griddle cake made of corn or rice flour. Having had arepas, sopes, and gorditas at other places around the city, I was expecting the pupusato be fairly dense. I was surprised to find it lighter than I expected it to be. The texture was fairly light and soft, more like a traditional pancake than a heavier Gordita. It was filled with melty delicious cheese and served with I think a vinegar type slaw and a small cup of what tasted like a pretty mild tomato based sauce. All in all, I found the pupusa to be very tasty and would order it again. I was less impressed with my carnitas tacos. The tacos were served on two corn tortillas with cilantro, diced onion, lime wedges, and a medium heat level green sauce. The carnitas themselves were unfortunately very dry and hard and they lacked flavor. The sauce helped some to get them down. Without it, I think the meat was just way too dry. I'm disappointed as I used to go to Panchitos for tacos and ice cream or popsicles and was hoping to still have a good authentic street taco place fairly close to home, but unless something changes, this won't be it. I'll give them a second chance and update my review at that point. I did come at around 2pm so maybe the meat had been sitting since before the lunch rush. I want to like the place as I still enjoy going to Panchitos for ice cream and did like the pupusa.

Definitely worth the drive. My bean and cheese pupusa's were fire. Pickled cabbage was excellent as well.

This is one of our favorite places to eat lunch! The pupusas are always delicious. I especially love the bean and cheese. The slaw that accompanies it is the perfect complement. The staff is super helpful and friendly, and the restaurant is really clean. As an added bonus, it shares space with Panchito's, so you can grab some delicious ice cream after your meal.

We stopped here for dinner & Mexican ice cream with our kids and were thoroughly pleased with everything we ordered. The gentleman at the counter was very accommodating and explained what each menu item was to help our kids decide. My favorite item was the chicharron pupusas and the yuka frita. The green jalapeño sauce was a great addition if you want some extra spice. We will definitely be making return visits to try all of the other menu items, especially very flavor of the tacos. If you're planning to stop at Panchitos, come hungry and make Senior Pupusas the first stop.

FANTASTIC! Service was great and they were really patient with me explaining the dishes since I don't speak Spanish and the food was even better. The only criticism is I wish they had better plastic forks and knives...but I mean if that's the worst thing I have to complain about it was pretty freaking good. If I weren't spending such a short time in Louisville I would DEFINITELY be back.

I ate the cheese and chicharron pupusas and tacos al pastor. Washed down with a cold Fresca in a glass bottle. Everything was made fresh to order and delicious! Friendly service and fun atmosphere, connected to yummy Panchitos ice cream. Highly recommend!
