Salt & Vinegar at Public House

7/5/24 My husband and I finally made it in at a time when the kitchen was open and it wasn't slammed busy. We ordered: Rösti potato and pok pok chicken wings. The food came out quickly with a very nice presentation. It was absolutely delicious! I loved all the various flavors that went into these dishes. So glad we kept coming back to eventually try out the foods. So worth it! Definitely give this place a try!

Place is small, but has a great vibe. Old tavern feel. Beers selection was good and unique. Food was great. schnitzel was spot on German tradition. Spicy chicken Sang was a nice option and well prepared. Order at the bar was quick and easy.

I thought this food was pretty good! I was there to watch some sports and got the fish and chip which was massive! I thought it had good flavor and crunch and would order it again. Only giving a 4 because the service was a little slow.

This was a place your order at the bar food and drink experience. They have craft brews and cocktails to choose from. All the drinks we tried were good. We had the fish and chips and Schnitzel sandwich. The fish was a little greasy but still tender and tasty for catfish. The schnitzel sandwich was good but did not have the pretzel bun as described. That would have made it better. The house chips were very good. The bartenders/server were friendly and attentive. Nice clean, quiet, environment that I will come back and try again.

Awesome find in the city center, food was great, drinks were great, decently priced, sit at any table and order at the bar when you're ready. If you're looking for a quick or long meal, this place is it.

Ambiance was great! Great portion sizes also. I had Fish and Chips, tarter was perfect (important to me as I eat it on my fries:)

I strongly recommend not going here in a weeknight if you are not local. First of all, finding non-hotel parking was challenging. Ended up in a close covered parking lot that had only city vehicles in it. The volume of the music in the restaurant set off my sound safety alarm on my watch. The menu seemed great but ended up worrying about the dogs we had left in the car and could not think because of the noise. So, left to go back to the car, padding a prostitution on the way. This may be an interesting foodie farm to table place for lunch, but I am unable to judge.Note: we went to the listed address. The menu was same as listed on yelp. There was NOT trivia going on. There did not appear to be an upstairs (you had to go to the front to order). Perhaps we were in a side restaurant? We were worried about the safety of our dogs because of the abandoned nature of the neighborhood at the hour. If owner is this non responsive to concerns, I simply cannot recommend going at any time. Perhaps some improved signage pointing to other seating areas is the issue? I am a world traveler and dog trainer and stand by this review!

This was okay...not a fav. Very heavy with same flavored grease on our food. Read great reviews but food was definitely a disappointment

Stopped by this local pub with its cozy comfort food, woodsy vibe. Had the Reuben while the fam' enjoyed the fish & chips, mushroom & Gorgonzola burgers. Good eats. Gotta try when in town near downtown and historical district.

Great vibe, great beer, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and *excellent* food. It's such a nice surprise to come across a place that's executing at this level without charging an arm and a leg. Well done, everyone.I wish I had a pub like this near me!
