We LOVE Safe Splash! We are so impressed with the instructors and the quality of the lessons! They are excellent at figuring out what your child needs to succeed. We have done both group and private lessons. Both have been phenomenal! I have an adorable, busy kid who has trouble slowing down and paying attention. They have been fantastic with him! Definitely the place to take your kid for swim lessons!

I have tried two of the other swim schools in Louisville and they are fine for teaching a basic survival float but if you want to not just teach your child to float, but to love water and to become a strong swimmer I highly recommend safe splash. The owner and wife are coaches for the swim team at U of L and they miraculously taught my 3 year old who hated getting water in his eyes to not just swim but to love it in a matter of months. We love our swim school so much and can't believe that we think swim may be the future sport for our son who hated it a few months ago. Check it out. Typically first class is free. We love Mr stefan for our baby class and miss Amy for our toddler

So we tried all the swim lessons possible around town. Our daughter is really shy and it takes a special person and environment for her to warm up to. Ms. Amy, the owner and teacher there, worked with Reese and now she's a confident swimmer. She can swim on her own and LOVES going to swim each week. It's something she looks forward to. The facility is so clean, the staff is so nice and welcoming, the teachers are so patient and kind to the kids. It doesn't hurt that the management team there were all competitive swimmers. They teach the foundations for safe technical swimming. You can tell they are passionate about what they do. Also, unlike other swim schools it's not over crowded. We will be sending both of our kids here for swim lessons.

My 2 yr old just finished his second lesson here and I can't say enough good things about this place. First and foremost his instructor was kind, courteous and very knowledgeable. My son is normally pretty slow to warm up to new adults and he took right to Mr. Will. Their lesson went really well and my son was excited to go back! Swimming is something we'd like for him to continue doing for a long time, so having positive first experiences like this is priceless. While we were waiting in the lobby, several of the staff came up and talked to us. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. At the very least no one looked like they were trudging through the day. Lastly, the entire building was meticulously clean and comfortable. I can honestly say that exceeded my expectations. All of these things combined point to the fact that this is a well run organization.

My child was taking swim lessons with an instructor who was was horrible and played the whole time. So, we switched her instructor. Things were good and I felt like she was actually learning something. Then today, the instructor aggressively grabbed her and another child out of the pool because they were splashing and not paying attention when it wasn't their turn. I gave him the benefit of doubt. Then the lifeguard came over. She verbally threatened my child the entire class. She was sitting quietly on the steps, and I guess she wasn't on the exact spot that the lifeguard thought she should be. She kept berating her and threatening her that she was going to be in "big trouble" repeatedly. Then a few minutes later, she makes her get out of the pool. The entire time she was sitting on the steps, quietly, with tears in her eyes. This child just turned 4. Threatening children isn't how you get them to behave or enjoy swimming. Maybe the instructors need some education on how to work with children. This place has went downhill FAST. The only reason this place is still in business is location. Please parents, if you want your child to actually learn and have fun, check around. This place was convenient, unfortunately my mistake was at the expense of my child. It's bad when your 4 year old looks at you, with tears in their eyes and says "mommy, why is she so mean"?Well Amy, siting on the stairs was not the issue. I totally understand water safety being important. We spoke about what the issue was during our conversation, it was the treatment and verbal threats that the lifeguard kept making towards my 4 year old. Our family will not be returning to your facility. Learning is a very important thing for children, and the atmosphere should be nurturing, engaging, safe (physically, mentally, and emotionally), positive, and fun. Unfortunately, that is not the experience we received.

Amy is an awesome swim instructor! Not only do they instruct the children how to swim, they also learn survival skills!
