Roman’s Asian Kitchen

First and last time at this dump. We walk in and there is only one other table with customers which is huge red flag for me but we were already there. Not much sushi in this area so wanted to give them a try. Took about 10 minutes to get menus and take our drink order. Remember only one other table in the whole restaurant. Came back with our drinks pretty quick and we placed our order. I tried to order some nigiri but we were told no nigiri and no sashimi. I asked why but the waiter barely spoke English and couldn't answer why. I ordered a spider roll with soft shell crab, asparagus, avocado, masago, scallions and eel sauce. Took an hour to bring our food (still only one other table in the restaurant). The roll I received was fake Kani crab, avocado and eel sauce. I asked the waiter but again he played the "no habla" and couldn't tell me why. Not only did I not get what I ordered but the rolls fell apart trying to eat them. I'm including pics of the roll, pics of the menu and the receipt to show they knew what I ordered but just decided to give me something else. If you don't have soft shell crab just tell me and let me order something else. Will not give them a second chance and hope they go out of business soon so another restaurant that knows what they are doing and cares can give it a shot.

This is an extremely well designed Asian restaurant that features Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine. Our server, Keke X, was very friendly, helpful and attentive (having checked on us several times). We started with the pot stickers (wonderful). Then ordered from the lunch menu which was the perfect amount of food. The restaurant is located behind the Kentucky Outlet Mall so it's a little garden the find if you're not familiar with the location but is well worth the search.

We decided to try this place on our latest trip to the Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass. The restaurant is located in the outlet mall, in the old Johnny Rockets location near Vans (so don't go looking near the food court). We were seated right away, as the restaurant was fairly empty (1 PM on a Saturday). The place seemed clean, and we were waited on quickly. The lunch menu was a little confusing. There was a teriyaki or hibachi option with a Pick 2 listed, followed by different proteins. When we asked about it these seemed to be separate items, but we think we ordered the teriyaki chicken. It came with veggies, a choice of fried or steamed rice, and four pieces of sushi. The sushi was very fresh and mild- I'm not a big sushi fan but I liked it. I got the beef pho, which was excellent. Huge bowl with delicious broth, tons of noodles, and several big pieces of tender beef. There were a lot of sauce options on the table, including soy, hoisin, and sriracha. I added some lime and sriracha to my soup, and it was perfect. One of the best bowls of pho I've had. We had a great experience, but it was a little pricey- $50 for two entrees, a soda, and an egg roll. Pretty steep for lunch. I'm not sure how well this restaurant will do at this mall- sit-down restaurants don't seem to last very long here. If this restaurant was in my neighborhood I think it would be a hit, but I'm not sure how good of a fit it is for the outlet mall.

I had the bagel roll. It was great! Service was quick. Not packed at all on Black Friday and the bathroom lines are much shorter here!!

Restaurant was clean. Service was efficient. We only tried the sushi but were very impressed and we are picky with our sushi. Will definitely be going again. The sunset roll and crunchy shrimp rolls were excellent.

I had my first visit here last week. I enjoyed everything, except the sauce that came with the summer rolls. It's nice that this restaurant is another option in Simpsonville.

Good sushi, huge portion of fried rice, clean and well lit. Glad we have this place in Simpsonville.

The food was just not up to par. When my northern hubby says it has no flavor and he needs soy sauce, you have to be pretty bland.

03/5I'm saying 3/5 stars for..1. The staff was very kind, they were patient even when I became sick. Leads me to my next point2. I ended up getting massively sick and got my period right after finishing the sushi. I only ate 3, outta 7. Yes the food was amazing!! But unless ya want someone ya know blowing up the toilets and throwing up etc right after I'd definitely recommend. 3. It was really pretty inside, boba tapioca pearls weren't enough. Kinda wish they didn't have such a large tv. Overall this place was amazing!!

I had to make an account just to review this place and save anyone else from torture, hibachi chicken was dry, the rice tasted like my grandmothers basement, and the Nemo Sushi Roll had me rolling my way to the bathroom... save yourself and go to Sakura Blue for good food. I feel like I just paid for food poisoning.
