We've been here a few times- it's always a must when we are in the Lexington area. They have really improved their tasting room over the years. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. You can also bring your own food in. The wines tend to be sweeter, though there are a few dry's. One of the things I love is that for a few wines, they have you taste just half and then they add something to it to make a cocktail. And they share the cocktail recipe- they are really good!!! I also like that they do a homemade jam tasting as well. I highly recommend stopping here when you are in the area!

Looking Out For The City ..

I came here today because there was an event that was taking place. The hospitality was great. The surroundings were really beautiful. Some suggestions I would make: The gravel road would do better paved and tarred. There are so many potholes to get up to the winery that I would suggest it for safety purposes. Additionally, I would suggest signage on parking. Is it okay to park on gravel near the entrance or on the grass? I followed the host of the event and parked on the grass. Usually, it is the best etiquette to park on gravel. It would be best to remove this ambiguity. The beverages featured were wine slushies. I did not have any because I was too worried about driving back to my house after getting there. It would have been nice to take one to-go; however, the cups were not made for to-go ordering (basically a cup with a straw lid that is covered with tape). This would be another suggestion for future events. Keep packaging in case people want to take one of these drinks to-go. Places like Taco Tico and others jumped on the bandwagon during and after the pandemic. This could be a selling point if this winery wants to increase sales.

While on the bourbon trail it's a must to do bourbon but if you are like me, I'd prefer the wine. So after experiencing Four Roses we stopped in for a tasting. Prefect way to end the day. We met the owner who is pretty damn cool, retired school teacher who opened a winery. We each tried 5 tastings, each one had a story, a pairing to try and in most cases how to turn it into a sangria. The cheese spreads were incredible and so was the jelly made from the wine. The barn was decorated nicely and seemed to have comfortable couches. We ended up purchasing 3 bottles of wine, feta dill cheese spread (2) and a strawberry wine jelly. The winery was unique and definitely worth a stop.

We finished some bourbon tasting and needed a little stop to unwind. Perfect place and the owner was our server and excellent. So friendly and hospitable to our group. Very knowledgeable and very nice selection of wines. The dips were excellent and she did a great job helping us pair food and wine. Please stop!!!

It's not just good bourbon in these parts--the wine is amazing too! If you are questioning whether or not to visit Rising Sons, ask yourself no more and just make it a stop. (They also offer bottled beers if you have a group member who would prefer that).Set back off the main road you will find this cute and cozy family owned winery full of hospitality. Francine was amazing and offered delicious cheese pairings to go with our wine selections. She also makes some amazing homemade jams that you will fall in love with --YUM! Definitely worth the stop.

We had a great time tasting. It was $8 for five samples. $10 if you wanted to keep the glass. The cheeses with crackers were $7 each but it was enough that it became our lunch.

This place is a gem, there is so much more to this place than wine. The variety of wine goes from one extreme to another. To our surprise we love the majority of the wines. To top that experience the cheeses and jams are over the top. You can not leave without trying their products. The service was top notch, very friendly and knowledgeable. The surroundings were relaxing and very unique. We greatly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend it.

Amazing family and experience. If you need a break from bourbon, this was a fun place to experience. Good wine with wonderful cheese and jelly pairings. We really enjoyed the whole tasting and the family/owners were very knowledgeable about their wines and how to pair them. The tastings were a great price too.
