Richard Noggins

Richard Noggins is an okay bar. It's one of the better options in Portsmouth. The drink prices are cheap. It's atmosphere is typical of the area. The bar is usually quiet if there isn't a musical act playing. A lot of crappy bars in Portsmouth get more of the local crowd. It's expected out of towners avoid these. The bars however have been mostly welcoming. It's the case at this bar. This is actually now called Noggins Pub. I came in the afternoon. This is located in a pretty okay looking part of town. It only had one other person at the bar. The bartender service is pretty good if not too friendly, so if not for the cheap drinks this place wouldn't nearly be as good. If in Portsmouth and looking for an okay bar go to Richard Noggins. It's cheap drink prices are what will get me to come back. The fact that it isn't scary creepy like some of the other bars in town gives it a good rating.

Notmally, I love this place but the past couple times I been in I have had to have a male orser my drinks. I dont understand why. The bartenders look right at me and when i start to irder they get the guy beside me his deink. Several people have told me the same thing happen to them. Bartenders be aware, females usually tip better
