Quills Coffee

During my recent visit, I couldn't help but feel that I had only scratched the surface of what this place offers. My friend and I dropped in primarily to grab another round of coffee, but the vibe was so inviting that I wished we could have lingered longer. The ambiance was alive with chatter, and the cozy atmosphere drew in quite a crowd. The coffee was deliciously robust, the brew that jolted me awake and kept my eyes peeled on the road as I returned to St. Louis. It felt like a missed opportunity to explore further, but I'm already plotting my return!

I met up with a friend here on a Saturday morning around 9am. There was no line, and I was able to place an order right away. Since I planned to stay awhile, I was happy to see that Quills offers ceramic coffee cups (one size only). I ordered a decaf Americano, and I have to say that it was delicious. Hot, perfect flavor profile, and just the thing for a cold February morning.For what it's worth, I also had a plain, toasted bagel with cream cheese. The cream cheese came in a small container with a plastic knife. I did notice that after the bagel cooled down, it became as solid as a rock. Almost like it came from a petrified forest and with the minuscule amount of cream cheese that I was able to scrape over the its crusty surface, it was inedible! I'm guessing that the bagel dried out during the toasting process, and when it cooled off, all of its moisture escaped it. (Or it could have been baked the week before, who knows.) I would NOT order a toasted bagel again, but the coffee was to die for!

Enjoyed my coffee but what I really loved was their outdoor space! Sat outside and read my book for awhile. Plenty of seating inside as well.

This is the best quills for outdoor space! They've done an amazing job providing so many different seating areas. I love the pastry selection, and of course, my all time favorite is the chai tea latte!

Great place overall! Roasts their own beans and makes their own syrups. As far as lattes go, would give it the 5/5 stars. The largest size is a quad shot which I always appreciate. No burnt taste and the salted carmel syrup was fantastic. I didn't have the drip or plan espresso, so it's hard to give an overall assessment of the coffee. Seems like a nice place to meet up or get some studying done. Off a busier road but still would make the trip! Bought a bag of the Blackstone beans that they use for espresso so I can try them out on my home machine!

Quills Coffee has a few locations scattered around town and this location in Nulu has quite the vibe. This place is pretty big... It mixes together a modern, industrial indoor space with a whimsy outdoor space with string lights and no matter what you're in the mood for, there's a seat here for you. If you're coming here to work like I did, you're all set. There's easy parking out front, the wifi is strong, and there were plenty of outlets for me to plug in my laptop. Everything I needed. Whether you're coming here to work or not, one thing is for certain. They have all the coffee, tea, and even kombucha you may need. Just in case you end up needing a snack... They have a small menu of food options as well. They even have a coffee subscription so you never run out at home. They've pretty much checked off all the boxes.

This is by far my favorite spot to draw, read, and study. The atmosphere is fantastic and the people are nice. And the butterfly on the flower, the coffee is AMAZING!

Great spot for a morning coffee! They have picnic tables in the back so I was able to bring my pup! I really enjoyed the lattes!

Really neat shop and great coffee! This was just a good experience, nothing to complain about. I got a seasonal latte and it was delightful. Smooth and flavorful. Everyone was nice and cheery in the cafe. I parked on the street no issue. Lots of seating too.

Friendly and quick service. I had the strawberry milk cold brew coffee, which was one of the specialty drinks. Very good!! Loved the addition of the strawberry milk, which made it a bit more refreshing for spring/summer.
