Prime 606 is a restaurant at the Hazard golf course and country club. I'm from Hazard originally and enjoyed a meal here recently while visiting family in the area. The menu is pretty standard steakhouse fare, but they also offer salads and seafood. I got the grilled shrimp with a baked potato and mac and cheese. My husband ordered a ribeye with baked potato and steamed veggies. The food was fresh and I thought the shrimp were flavorful and well-prepared. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating -- the patio by the pool was a nice spot for a summer evening meal. Our server was attentive and helpful. Overall I would recommend this as one of the best food offerings in the area.

We had dine in lunch service today. This is only week 2 for lunch service, I believe. The menu is very limited, which is understandable. There is no steak option on the lunch menu, which I thought odd for a steakhouse. I had the cheeseburger and fries. The burger they brought me was approximately two ounces, maybe, and was charred beyond recognition. It was clearly a very thin frozen patty that had been burnt on a dirty grill. The cheese was warm, but not warm enough to stick to the bun - I could lift it off the burger with my fork and it remained a whole piece of cheese. When our waiter returned and asked how things were, I asked if they had changed the burgers since the shutdown began. We had gotten burgers a couple months ago at dinner service (my other review) and they were substantially bigger and better quality. The waiter looked at my burger patty over my shoulder and said (unprompted) that it looked like a bad McDonalds burger patty. I agreed. He went to the back to ask the owner why the difference and I could hear Charles (the owner) say to tell me this was a lunch service, with a lower cost burger, and so the burger was different. The waiter dutifully returned and did so. (It's a $2 difference in price, and a much greater difference in quality.). He offered to fix me a new one, but I declined since my objection was to the size and quality as well as the standard of cooking.I tried to eat it, but it tasted acrid and burnt, and was honestly difficult to bite through. The cheese fries were okay, though.I am disappointed that a burger this bad was considered desirable, much less acceptable. There doesn't seem to be much point in asking me how I want the burger cooked if it's too thin to temp properly. It also would be good if they noted the difference between the otherwise identical menu items between lunch and dinner service. All things considered, I'm disappointed in the lack of quality more than anything else. The waiter gave me a 10% discount (unsolicited). With that and a 20% tip, I was out $11.05 for a burger and fries less satisfying than Wendy's, at twice the cost and half the size.
