Portsmouth Brewing Company

This place is absolutely adorable. It looks like an incredibly old building now made into the brewing company. Amazing staff. Service was awesome. Food was even better. We were in the area and we thought we would stop locally for dinner. Good idea on our end. Of course got the pickles and cheese curds for appetizer, SUPERB!! I got the crispy chicken wrap with the buffalo ranch. They did Asian Thai chili sauce instead (which I do not like) but I didn't have the heart to say anything. It would make a difference if they wrote down our order next time or something. The wrap had potential, but I didn't like the flavoring because of the sauce. I would definitely check this place out again if I am ever in the area.

This review is purely for the pizza, which is my favorite. The crust is thin and flaky, and the pizzas are big. I also love that they cut the pizza into little squares. Definitely get pizza here if you're in Portsmouth! (Also expect some wait during busier hours.)

Awesome brewery with some pretty good food! Such a neat place! Service wasn't the friendliest but the beer was pretty cold, so that made up for it!

I met my brother here for lunch. It's a truly interesting old building, complete with real brick floors, and a window where you can look in at the brewery. The service was great. My brother had a cheeseburger and fries. I had a ribeye steak bunless sandwich topped with cheese, mushrooms, green peppers and onions. The steak was delicious, well seasoned. I also had onion rings for my side. The order was big enough I shared it with my brother. The whole experience was great.

Very nice and almost charming by the way it's sort of tucked away from the strip in town, walked in and noticed that this is indeed a full time brewery in addition to a restaurant and bar. We had a couple of pizzas and both were well cooked and sliced in easy handled squares which was a nice plus. The staff are always around and quick to help or check on you. They have some extras like games and Keno which is big in this area apparently. It was a nice visit and I'm sure we'll stop by again next time we are in town.

Brewery has 4 or 5 beers that they brew. The waitress had no idea about the beers and could not tell us anything about them to help decide what to order. We did get very healthy size samples to try a couple of them. This is the 2nd time we have been here (only because we were with a different group of people) and both times the waitress seemed annoyed that we were there even though there were only a couple other tables. Our table ordered wings, several subs and a burger. The wings come naked and they put a bottle of sauce on the table. The subs were very plain. The burger was delicious. Their ranch dressing is great! Food came out hot and in a fair amount of time.

So I lived in southern Ohio my whole life, including in Scioto County. I never knew this was the oldest brewery in Ohio. The service was nice! Friendly faces and very helpful wait staff. I liked the rustic feel of the old building, but it's due for a make over. We ordered apps and beer. Both were good but not Earth shattering:) I would say a solid 3.5 stars!

Steak, pizza, lots of other choices. Everything I have tried there has been excellent. Building is amazing with lots of history, makes for an interesting dinner. Service was good and without issues, dining areas are spread out and did have to seek attention one time, but they were very busy.

Best pizza we've had in a while! We like a thin crust on the well done side which is how we order it and they did not disappoint! Service was great and timely!
