So we just wrapped up our stay here and I want to begin by acknowledging one of the coolest parts of the stay, the owner. He is an amazingly interesting man and was wonderful to talk to, make time to do this. It is definitely off the beaten path but that is probably what you are looking for in Berea. When we pulled up to the house, we were greeted by a pack of rambunctious and loving dogs which made it even better. I got to get them thoroughly riled up and then we headed up to the porch where the owner was waiting for us. He gave us a quick tour and some background on the house and the area (very knowledgeable). The inn is actually heated and cooled by geothermal power so that is a plus and they have a Tesla charger for those with an electric car. The room was wonderful (Lee), very clean and spacious, and the view was incredible. But the high points had to be the food (I had stuffed french toast, and I hate french toast, but this was other-worldly.), and the conversational with the owner (ask about the UMWA, or Boone's Trace.) It was a wonderful trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away and experience a little luxury.

We had a fantastic stay here! It's a comfortable, up to date inn that serves up a phenomenal breakfast. We loved playing with the puppies and kitties outside on the patio while we waited for our customized breakfasts to be served. The inn is isolated, but close enough to Berea and great hiking spots. Ira, the innkeeper, knows everything about the area. We stayed in the Anna room, which was small but luxurious.

Great place to get away! My husband surprised me last year for V. Day by taking me here. It was one of the best weekends we've had together. We stayed in a beach themed room and it was beautifully decorated. Breakfast was so yummy, and tons of it. The owner is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet! We will definitely be revisiting!

The hubby and I are fans of B&B's, and this has been our favorite so far. A bit hard to get to on backroads, but the view from the front porch (and some of the bedroom windows) is more than worth it! Lovely house, great (individually made at your request) breakfasts, fantastic evening desserts, helpful, well educated and interesting innkeeper. We stayed in the Lee room and it was just wonderful. It felt like absolute luxury, and it didn't break the bank. We were planning excuses to go back before we'd left. We went during the autumn so most of the plants outside were dead and it looked a bit shabby (dead gardens, post season, you know), but the place is very environmentally friendly which we loved. Also, there were kittens.
