I've been too this restaurant a couple times in the past. This was my first time getting the Pier 17 fest. While it is a bit pricey, you do get a lot of food for your money as you can see. We actually got two pier 17 fest combos. It was very convenient because we didn't have to call ahead, just show up and fest. Seating can be limited so if you have a large party, I would recommend getting there earlier in the day. This place is pretty packed on the weekend. Got the pier 17 seasoning with no heat. It was delicious and very flavorful. I do think they should give you more sausage, egg, potatoes and corn. For the price we paid, having to order more sides was a little crazy. The combo was lacking in the aforementioned items, tons of seafood tho. Service was great and staff were very friendly.

Dis-appointed city was my experience here. The only highlight was the unique design and it all downhill from there. You can overlook some things but at a restaurant the food is the main thing in rating a place. The food was sloppy, cold, and barely ate-able. The service was subpar too, they weren't excited we were there. No problem, we want be there ever again.

Pier 17 Cajun Seafood invites you in with music that reminds me of walking down Bourbon Street in New Orleans. The music was upbeat and not overly loud, you can enjoy the music and still converse with your entire table with no problem. The decor is reminiscent of a wharf side restaurant where you would expect seafood fresh from the daily catch. Larry our server was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. He suggested the pier 17 seasoning and my husband said it did not disappoint. We each had the lobster boil which was cooked perfectly, not chewy, not tough just perfect sitting on tender potatoes, boiled corn and drowning in that delicious butter! This restaurant is a fantastic value for the money. Don't pass it up. We will return.

I should have taken a picture but the food was so delicious I ate it all and forgot. We tried the fried calamari appetizer, headless shrimp boil, and scallop boil. Everything was excellent. Appetizer came with cocktail sauce and a sweet chili sauce and both were delicious. Shrimp was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the pier 17 seasoning. The decor was on theme and very comfortable. The restaurant is clean and service was 10/10. We will be back!

If you want a taste of New Orleans in Louisville, Pier 17 is where it's at. Loved the shrimp pot and the spices were spot on. Everything was delicious.

Honestly...Not bad for what it is. I've driven past this place at least 1000 times and never ventured in. Thought about it... but always passed. Felt like an odd location for Cajun seafood.I got the headless shrimp boil (1 pound) with extra potatoes. I went garlic butter with old bay and medium spice. I was pleasantly surprised. 1st off, potatoes were legit, so get extra potatoes. The boil only comes with one small one.... Not enough. Got the hush puppies, solid choice there. Don't waste your time with the cheese garlic bread they give you. Hold out for the actual food. A pound of shrimp was ample, probably would have been hungry had I just done a half pound. But the flavor was good, great experience, not very expensive. Great spot for a large group of people and lends itself to lots of conversation. So that made it more fun.I will say, this is the type of place where you'll come out smelling like seafood, so best not to wear anything that fancy or plan to go somewhere after.I'd go back, you should at least stop in and try it!

Twas good! I wasn't sure what to expect. It's decorated with allllll the kitschy fish hanging from the ceiling. The service was good at the bar. We made a seafood boil from scallops, crab, and sausage. All very tasty and cooked perfectly. The Pier 17 seasoning medium heat was perfect for us. Any spicier and it would be too much, but just right for a medium. The pool of stuff more than an inch deep that looks like movie theater popcorn butter that the meal comes out in was very odd for me. I expected seasoning, not a pool of odd looking oil. While not for us, we are glad we tried it and we really did enjoy the gluttonous meal.
