Phalcha

Cozy coffee shop right on the corner of the street. I've been there a handful of times but it's always peaceful, decorated, and friendly. Pretty good music plays in there too (Frank Ocean shout out) Though cozy, this shop has it busy times throughout the day where you might not be able to grab a seat or find parking, the most relevant cons in my opinion. I love how innovative their menu is, they're constantly rotating signature specials but always have what I'm asking for. For example sometimes I go to coffee shops in town and ask for lavender syrup and most places won't have it until the springPhalcha only offers one size for all their drink options which is about the size of a medium but I think you can get just about anything cold or hot. Last time I ordered the Roseberry Latte but I do enjoy their Ube Lattes (just trust me and make it a dirty ube latte, you want some expresso) I feel that Phalcha's coffee is super balanced and my drinks never go forgotten about how bad coffee usually leaves my attention. Instagram worthy, Phalcha is a fun place to explore coffee and flavor pairings, take some cute pics, get some work done, or to catch up with friends. I just wish there was some type of reward/loyalty system like a punch card?? That would definitely keep me coming in weekly. Still definitely a great place to visit I'd rate it a 4.7

I have been eyeing this place for a little while, it is the cutest little dream of a coffee café!So I went for it & had the best little Valentines brunch date! You know that the drinks are good & the employees are better when you show up on a Wednesday morning & the place is jam-packed!We ordered:You,Me,Us Valentines flight!(Dreamy Strawberry,Caramel Kisses & CherryBliss)One Iced coffee flight!(Roseberry,Ube,Matcha & Butterscotch)One Avocado Sandwich! One Prosciutto Sandwich!Mine was the Valentine's flight & as I took a sip of each, I swear they just increasingly got better!The service was great, & the employees were sweet & helpful!Literally everything we consumed tasted wonderful & I have zero complaints.I can't wait to come back here in the summer when it is nice out & allow myself to take in a cool breeze at the very natural tables beneath the weeping willow!I grew up in Germantown & oh how nice it would've been as a teenager to ask if I could walk to the coffee shop on the corner. Ugh, a dream! Thank you for putting such a beautiful, welcoming establishment here!

A very creative coffee shop! Their flights are yummy and artistic. I enjoy drinking matcha primarily and I'm glad they offer it. Their powders are pre-sweetened though and everything at this place is pretty sweet. My favorite sweetener they have is Ube! A sweet purple yam syrup. If you're vegan, you may have some difficulty finding a drink you enjoy. They have nondairy milk but when my friend tried ordering a sesame latte explaining she's vegan, the staff seemed unsure how to offer it to her. They kept trying to substitute their white mocha with regular mocha. But we didn't want a strong chocolate flavor.. other than that it was a nice visit!

Finally made it to Phalcha! It almost had us leaving immediately due to the lack of seating to enjoy what we were eyeing, but we got so lucky with a table of two opening after we placed a drink order to go. So first thing to know - it's a small space inside during poor weather. The patio does open up more areas to sit when the days are prettier. I was brought in for a flight. They offer a standing version of 4 drinks, iced or hot, and I purchased the winter flight hot. It included a peppermint, sesame and s'mores latte. In all ways it was beautiful. Now that I've done it, I will stick to their general menu. The peppermint latte hit as expected and the s'mores too, although sweet. The sesame was ... awful. If you've ever blown up a balloon and noticed the chalky flavor on your tongue - that is what it tasted like. Neither my husband nor I could stomach it.The Ube latte was sweeter than I expected but decent. My favorite was my iced strawberry rose latte. I'd order this again.Food - the waffle was delicious and a nice size. The grilled cheese was excellent too and we loved the dipping sauce, a pepper honey. They have a decent menu so that you can fill up your empty stomach.Service was great. The team hustled in their small kitchen space. Street parking available. Clean bathroom. We did leave with a lingering smell of grease on our clothes and hair. My guess is that was from the grilled of food happening in the kitchen space. We didn't notice it while there but I was self conscious about it after leaving and visiting other shopping spots.

This may be one of my favorite coffee shops that we visited while in Louisville, I really wished we had the time to sit down and enjoy one of those flights. But the drinks we did get were delightful. I got the ube matcha and my husband got the ube latte. We were so excited to see this coffee nearby our Airbnb and for a Saturday morning they were BUSY. There were no free seats in house, and folks kept coming in to order. So so incredible. My ube matcha was so good, the ube flavor was not too sweet and the matcha mixed with it perfectly. The ube latte was the perfect flavoring of coffee and ube. When we got to the car the drinks barely lasted more than a few red lights because it was so good we finished it so quickly! I wish we had more time to try other drinks on their menu before we left town. But definitely a must visit next time we're in town!

The drinks are good, just need to stir them before you drink. The inside is very cute and offers a serene place to study. I've had their Ube latte in the past and it was also great.

Always a fun place to visit. Got the winter flight this time around (added photo) They allow substitutions in flights for an additional cost.

This is such a cute coffee shop! They have some good snacks too like waffles. They also have different ube and matcha drinks which I'm a huge fan of. The customer service was great as well :)

I LOVE this cafe. Every drink is a delight and their treats are wonderful. It is very small but there's a good amount of seating for the size. The staff and owner are super nice. A definite-must visit for locals and visitors alike.
