I really enjoyed my experience here. Ashley, the instructor, is a lot of fun, knowledgeable, and helpful with giving advice and clear instructions. I am a terrible painter but I honestly made the best painting of my life here. Ashley made the experience fun and looked to my strengths to give me advice on what I could do better. She gave me different tools throughout the process to help me accomplish the look I was going for.One of the best things about this place as well is that if you don't finish in your first visit you can come back at certain times and have full access to their resources and advice even if it takes a couple times of coming back to do so. Coming here gave me confidence in my ability to actually paint well and it was not stressful at all during the process. Next time the wife and I get a chance to have some free time, this place is definitely going to be on our minds!

My roommate and I enjoyed our painting class at PWAT-our instructor Sarah was very talented and she allowed plenty of time! I've been to a classes previously and had John Darko as our teacher-he is hilarious and kept us laughing as we paint. I really liked the "Paint Your Own Pet" night-being able to see all the different animals was a lot of fun!Be sure to check to make sure if it is a 21 & up class or an ALL ages. The schedule of classes is posted on their website so you have plenty of time to schedule a month in advance if you need to. They do fundraising nights for organizations as well so ask about that!

This place is great! I attended a Paint Your Pet class. The instructors were hands-on to help; yet still had you do the strokes to ensure the painting was yours. Because we had to submit a photo of our pet prior to the class, they already had my basic background sketched out and colors poured for me. Very organized. Good background music and good vibes. My only critique would be that I don't understand what the "twist" is, as this is a non-alcoholic venue and I was thinking there would be wine. But I solved that problem by having a mimosa prior to attending.

My daughter and I tried Painting with a Twist for the first time today and we had so much fun. Our instructor, Ashley, was so nice and welcoming and she did a great job teaching our class. There were quite a few young girls in our class and she was so patient and sweet with them. It was a positive and fun bonding experience to do with my daughter and we can't wait to take another class together.

The manager being kind of a jerk and the fact there's no "Twist" earns a sad 1 star rating from me. === === ===It needs to be said that the instructor, Michelle, was really awesome and deserves a fun 5 stars on her own. She was laughing with us, lightening the mood, and even showed us her fantastic Chewbacca impression. So, I checked in and a Yelp offer pops up letting me know there's a special free gift. Cool. I inquire with Michelle and she's never seen it before but says she'll check with the manager. No problem. Half way through painting, the manager, John, shows up. She asks him about the Yelp offer and he says they're not affiliated with Yelp and he doesn't know anything about it. Michelle suggests it might be a corporate thing, and John says, "Yeah, that could be something corporate. They're in Louisiana; you know they're crackheads." Classy. I guess he didn't realize I was the one who inquired. To top things off, as John is walking around, he reaches across the chest of my female friend as she's painting and picks up a clean brush she set aside, admonishes her for leaving the brush out, and puts it into her water cup. Really!? The brush was clean and she set it out on purpose because the instructor said the brush shouldn't be wet at this point. I'm going to let the fact that he invaded her personal space go, because that just infuriates me. Needless to say, I am going to continue going to Pinot's Palette and never return to Painting with a Twist. It's really sad because I really wanted to have fun here and like this place, but that didn't happen. Update 5/31/16: I received two nasty messages from John via Facebook Messenger. One was a plain insult, calling me a loser, and the second was a childish attempt to attack me because of my weight. Look in the photos to read the message.

First of all, it pains me to write such a negative review. Almost as much as it pained me to experience such negative treatment by a business. Here is how my experience went: my mother purchased $35 class passes for our family party of five, including my grandmother, little sister, and aunt who came in from out of town for this event. My mother thought class started at 7 (her error) so we showed up at 6:40, to our surprise class had already started at its actual 6:30 start time. Everyone in my party was extremely apologetic, and reiterated our sincere apologies multiple times. The instructor (who I believe was the owner) was understandably frustrated. However, she never let it go. She openly persisted in shaming my family for being late out loud while wearing her microphone headset. She kept apologizing to the other students for having to put up with late additions to their experience and kept referring to our need to catch up and how hard it was on her for having to teach what felt like two classes at once. There was a staff member there who was attending that class as a student who was asked by the instructor to help us, which she graciously did. However, again as part of her public shaming, the instructor continued to remind us in a negative tone that the other staff member was missing out of getting to paint since she was helping us. The instructor gave all of her attention to the other participants, not once did she assist my family party. Instead she relied on the guilt of having this other staffer work with us off on her time off. Lastly, the instructor announced that she was going to have a give-a-way of free art. When she brought out the artwork to raffle my little sister got really excited and wanted to win it. The instructor said all our names had been put in a cup and the name drawn would win the artwork. Someone from the other table (not my party) was drawn... no big deal, but it fed my suspicion that she wasn't being fair. I looked in the cup at the end of class at the names and found that no one's name from my family had been included in this raffle. It made me really upset. I did not say anything to the instructor on site because I didn't want to ruin this special time with my family. But this review is my only way of voicing how much of a negative impact the experience had on me. As a human I hope to be treated kindly at all times. As an instructor myself, I expect another instructor to treat students with grace. As a consumer and patron, I expect a business owner to treat me as though they want my repeat business. We were not disrespectful, it was a simple mistake by one person in our party. We all apologized and came in with good attitudes. I can only hope the others in my family didn't pick up on this series of micro-aggressions pointed at us and that the instructor was simply in a bad mood that day.

We went for a management retreat. Our instructor Ashley was amazing! With 14 people we choose what we thought would be the easiest and went with a black board and quote. She let us all freestyle and ended up with 14 amazing paintings. Such a great time. Highly recommend. We will be back.
