If you want a great Pork Tenderloin Sandwich and are in the area, try this local favorite. Paint Grill is wedged between a couple of homes on the south side near the well known Jerry's Pizza. Stopped in on Saturday for lunch and honestly enjoyed the best pork tenderloin sandwich i have had in a while. Keith (the owner) and his crew are super nice and its a great place to grab a cold one and watch the Buckeyes too. Give it a try. We look forward to going back.

Went here not knowing what to expect. I ordered the papermaker burger and fries. The patties were fresh and the entire meal was delicious! I am not from the area, but if I were back in town I would make it a point to stop back in and have this meal again. The bartender was also delight. She was funny and very friendly. I also enjoyed visiting with all the regulars at the bar.

We were on a quest to try a veal sandwich in the Hocking Hills area & after a few strike-outs we found the Paint Grill. ...and oh-my-goodness it made the search worthwhile. First, a veal sandwich is a complete misnomer -- it's actually a pounded pork tenderloin which is then breaded and deep fried. We've had these sandwiches in Iowa & Indiana (which claim to be the originals), but my fiancee & I both agreed Ohio does it best. Served with my choice of mayo and pickle on a lightly toasted bun, it's totally worth blowing the calorie budget. Our server revealed the pork is prepared on-site: pounded, hand breaded, and deep fried. They serve it with chips, but if you can actually eat the entire sandwich, you probably won't have room for the chips anyway. There's also a nice selection of cold beer, sodas, and 'everyday' liquors. Definitely local, and definitely awesome!

Paint Grill is a Chillicothe dive bar. It definitely has a local flavor. This place seems sketchy at first but it's not. It has some good drinks. The food is typical fried stuff. It doesn't look like much. It's old looking and rundown. There's a small parking lot in the back full of beat up pickup trucks. Customers enter through the door on the north side of the building. The bar is down the flight of stairs. I had a vodka and tonic. It's about $3 for a glass. The service is friendly in a hillbilly sort of way. Food here is nothing special. There's stuff like onion rings and wings. It certainly is a divey bar. It's kid friendly too since they have kid friendly food. There's a few tables for a family gathering or party.

Food and service are good. This is, definitely, a "dive bar." Not a place to go if you are in a hurry.

A local institution in the shadow of the paper mill. Don't expect anything fancy, just good food and cold beer. Famous for the tenderloin sandwich and the "paper maker" burger. When the staff gets in a mood, they can be rather "engaging." Michigan, Clemson, and Alabama fans might not appreciate the decor, which is classic OSU scarlet and gray.
