Food is excellent and service very good. It is home cooking. It felt welcoming. We were able to relax and enjoy our meal. O

There's a finally an eatery in Willard. Since the closure of the Smokey Valley Truck Stop in the western tip of Carter County there has been a void of non franchise, home cooking restaurants in our county. Its in the southeastern tip of Carter County in the sleepy hamlet that is Willard Kentucky. Close to to the Lawrence Co border. I've had a few hamburgers there and yet to be disappointed. Anxious to try something else.Fortunately they have WIFI there. The password is Oliver14 if I recall. That is good because Willard and Hitchins are a black hole of cellular activity. Unfortunately the are closed on Wednesday and I've already feel Chick-Fil-A-itis coming on. You know what that is.. The only day I only crave that place is Sunday. It's Wednesday and I'm really craving Our Country Kitchen today.
