I really enjoyed the variety and flavor of the sushi. I'm an avid hotate, raw scallop, enthusiast. Not being on the coast generally limits my ability in my travels to be able to find raw scallops. I was happy to find they did have this on their menu. The service was prompt and polite.The price was reasonable. I spent $42 for 3 rolls, a glass of wine and that included tip.The ambiance is simple, pleasant, quiet and fresh.I would eat here again.

I picked up takeout from Osaka for dinner, and the sushi was prepared with care and tasted very good. While there are many sushi options in Louisville, some other locations offer a better ambiance for dining in. However, since I was getting my food to go, the rundown exterior and interior did not bother me.I called in my order, and the employee who took it was kind and efficient. It took about 20 minutes for my order to be ready, which was perfectly fine. Parking was a bit tricky on a Friday night; I had to park four blocks away, but that's to be expected on a weekend. Osaka is a solid neighborhood staple.

We've been to Osaka several times. This was the first time we've been disappointed. The sushi is still excellent. It's fresh. Sliced thick. Excellent. And that's what we came for and Osaka did not disappoint. The breakdown came with warm, weak, and not hot, tea. Undercooked edamame. And watery ginger dressing on the house salad. Add to that a noisy, malfunctioning ac unit that disturbs conversation. Finally, filthy restrooms. Great sushi to be sure, but Osaka needs to step up on several other areas to make a better dining experience.

Was so happy to come back to my favorite sushi place! It had been a while since the last time I was here. We went on a Friday night around 7:30. Parking was a little difficult but I was able to snag a spot down the street. We were greeted & seated as soon as we walked in. We ordered a miso soup & ginger salad. A few minutes later both were on our table. We ordered the Osaka roll & romantic roll. Both were delicious & full of flavor. Love love love this place!

Love this place! Cozy, lived in atmosphere in an old storefront on Frankfort Ave.However, you're not paying for the atmosphere here, this is authentic Sushi done right. There are some crazy custom rolls as well, I like the downtown roll.service is always great and the price won't put you in the poorhouse.this my go-to for Sushi!
