This place is amazing. Seems small but they have a Lot of specialty liquors and beers. No food of course. Rob is always helpful and fun to talk to. Inside is small but not too crowded. Worth checking out !

Santa Claus, Indiana. Home of Holiday World, Splashin' Safari, Lake Rudolph, a sleighful of Christmas-themed stores and... one of the best liquor stores in the state?! It's more likely than you'd think! Old Tyme Liquors is fairly small but packs a remarkable variety within its walls, and no matter what your vice is, you won't be hurting for options. The craft beer coolers deserve particular attention, because they house some rarities that are downright shocking to find in this region. My favorite find was Lazy Magnolia's Southern Pecan Ale. This terrific brown ale from Kiln, MS tends to be rarer than hen's teeth in Kentuckiana, and I've only caught it on draft a couple times. To see it casually hanging out in one of Old Tyme's coolers was a real treat. Other notable names on deck here include Lil Beaver (Bloomington, IL), Voodoo Brewing Co. (Meadville, PA), Rochester Mills (Rochester, MI), Fair State Co-op (Minneapolis, MN) and of course, plenty of standout breweries from across Indiana. Seriously, this place is a slice of heaven if you're looking for craft beer from far-flung parts of the country. And for everything else, they keep the prices reasonable and the shelves stocked. Damn, it feels good to be a Hoosier.

Great place to grab a quick 6-pack. I only drink craft/microbrews and stay away from the gross brews that massive conglomerates "create." Just a personal thing. I requested the owners order a specific beverage for me. They had never heard of the brewery, but the next time I visited they not only had ordered the specific offering, but a whole line from the brewery. I was surprised (and glad) to see this!We come from Houston and the prices here are a bit higher than we're used to, but being the only place around here to grab some tasty beverages, it's a winner. I cannot give 5 stars because of pricing, but I'd absolutely recommend hitting them up if you're in the mood for a good brew.*** I'd also like to note that they have a $10 minimum to use a credit card. Sure, you're in an establishment where you could quickly spend more than that, but I find this to be a tad absurd-- especially when a lot of drinks can be found for under this limit. This forces you to spend more than you may want or need to. ***

Great small town liquor store with some really great owners that are always willing to help me find what I need...always with some awesome humor thrown in. I especially like it because they will typically carry anywhere from 3-7 seasonal craft beers which are my favorite and hard to come by around these parts. A great stop when camping at Lincoln or Rudolph or in need of a serious drink after taking the kids to Holiday World! ;)
