Directions much appreciated!
Great band!
One of the bouncy houses he went back and forth in - poor thing out in the full sun. Thank you for having all the bouncy houses!
Springfest takes over First Street in Old Louisville in May.
Several of the vendors in the background some shaded some not!

Had an amazing time with the family here. The sun was blistering hot in some locations. My son is a trooper for lasting as long as he did in the bouncy area. It had absolutely no shade and I felt so bad for the ladies working this area. Tons of great vendors. Enough food trucks to satisfy even the pickiest of people-... 19 yr old home from college and a 10 yr old that we still lie to about sausage! We passed Leige ice cream truck and that's our only regret was not walking back over to try some. Next time we might have to just eat ice cream first! Had a great time once we found shade, definitely will return yet again next year.

Old Louisville Spring Fest has become one Louisville festivals to which I look forward each year. I think I've been 3 out of the 4 past years, despite some not-so-great weather the past couple years. You really can't beat the neighborhood; I always love seeing the homes in scenic Old Louisville. This festival is situated in the middle of it all on 1st Street. There are all sorts of vendors--the neighborhood association, artists, local businesses, food trucks, and more. There are also a number of food trucks. I've bought clothes, jewelry, greeting cards, and food here over the years. There's also live music both days, as the fair is typically Friday and Saturday. I think they also have a kids zone on the Saturday with bouncies and so on.This year we got a free bottle of Juicy Juice teasers and had a very bizarre encounter with a man. (Thankfully police were nearby on the latter... Way to go with security, OLSF!)I'll be back!

We weren't able to go for a very long time, but it was still a fantastic event!Lots of great vendors with handmade things (the man with the Turkish jewelry was my favorite). The best of the food trucks! Beer tent (with alcoholic slushies for the kid in all of us). Live music and dancing. I wish we had gone earlier and had more time to enjoy. But what a fantastic event all around!

Springfest has improved over the years from a "meh" event to a decent sized fair. This year it had several blocks of vendors, food trucks, and live music. The vendors were a mix of artists, direct sales companies (lularoe etc), and other area businesses like gutter cleaners. While I enjoy Springfest, I'm not sure that it has found it's "soul" yet. Not many of the vendors seemed to be local to Old Louisville or even to Louisville. If it is a neighborhood event, then I'd love to see it showcase Old Louisville more. I guess I'm not sure yet what sets it apart from the dozens of other art fairs that occur during the spring and summer.

A smaller version of St. James up and down 1st st. A great selection of food trucks, from gyros to soul food, from Italian ice to Comfy Cow to Amish-style ice cream. You can buy whimsical gifts like origami jewelries or more practical items like urban chicken coup. For more earthy items, there are air plants, herbs plants or home-grown freshly picked strawberries for those who just want to each. It's fun and family friendly. There's live music and pretty old Victorian houses to admire as well. I'd like to this happen on an annual basis like other popular fairs/fests.

You have to check this out. If you didn't make it last year it's worth checking our this year. Make sure to stop at the Yelp booth and check in for some SWAG. Although this is only the second year for this festival you can see the potential for this festival getting bigger and better every year. Nice mixture of artists, food trucks, music and stuff for kids to do. Make sure to stop by the different neighborhood association booths for great ideas of upcoming events.

It's that time of year when there is ALWAYS something going on EVERY WEEKEND! I am a sucker for any street festival. I was lucky to park super close and then explore this area of Old Louisville. There was plenty of tasty food options and some places to grab a drink, and my favorite sweet treat, SnoWhat, and plenty of local vendors both with homemade items and sellers of stuff (like LulaRoe). I'll probably see you again next year, Old Louisville Springfest.

This festival is a hidden gem! I am so glad I discovered it this year! I had to work a booth for my company on Friday night and the crowd was not too much. There was a very diverse group of festival-goers and everyone was super friendly:)There were about 10 food truck options and I wanted to try all of them. I settled for V-Grits and I'm so glad I did. Their vegan burger is to die for! I finished off my meal with a mint chocolate chippy sugar cone from Comfy Cow (yum). There were so many cool vendors at Spring Fest. I ended up buying two dresses and a necklace, but I wanted to buy even more! The vendor next to my booth was selling some of the coolest handmade wood pens and kaleidoscopes. I think his booth was called Steve's Wood Creations. He didn't have a website, but his stuff was beautiful! Men and women were stopping by all night to admire his craftsmanship! I heard they had to shut down Saturday due to rain and I hate to hear that. It means all those awesome vendors missed an opportunity to make some money and the would-be shoppers missed out on some awesome products.

The Old Louisville Springfest is a celebration of the city's world-famous neighborhood. On Friday (5/15) the weather cooperated with gentle breezes and just enough warm sunshine to make the Italian Ice, Comfy Cow ice cream, and beer tent popular destinations. While I was there the mood was cheerful and relaxed, the band was warming up and the food trucks provided a fragrant atmosphere. I personally enjoyed a sandwich from the Turkish offering, Zoom Zoom Yum-spicy & delicious! Worthy of a return trip, weather permitting.
