each of our pets has received excellent care at every stage of their lives. The veterinarians recognize us as a family and are thoughtful about how our pets' health and quality of life inform our family unit. Nicholasville road Animal Hospital has been our medical home for more than25 years- 6 dogs, five cats, one snake, Autoimmune Hemokytic anemia, diabetes, renal failure, lymphoma, dementia, aging, puppy diarrhea. Thank you.

I don't normally take the time to write reviews but Nicholasville rd animal hospital took exceptional for my pup yesterday. I called on a Saturday morning with a concern about my new puppy and they were able to get me in quickly. Dr. Riney explained the problem thoroughly, took the time to do a complete exam, as well as address any concerns I have with owning a new pup even though I was a add on appointment on a busy Saturday. I am greatly appreciative of Dr. Riney and his staff and how kind and patient they were with my puppy and I.

So, after receiving enough emails asking me to review this business on yelp, Google and Google+, and even asking them to please stop all emails, I have decided to finally buckle and review Nicholasville Road Animal Hospital(NRAH). I'll even include a photo of the email and response from a month ago. I first moved to town in 2012. Vet time for Khamir rolls around, I get a recommendation for NRAH(by someone who I now for other reasons, completely and utterly distrust). I took Khamir a few times, was never really impressed, little old, little dirty, had to take her out of room for shots. Her last visit there, they take her back for shots(grr, she is a Mommas girl and does better with me there), she comes back to me smelling like a chain smoker. Whatever, people smoke, I get it. At least air your nasty self out before touching my animal!! And yes, the smell was strong enough for me to wonder if they were actually smoking in the back. I've worked with folks who smoke on breaks, and my cat smelled worse than they did after just walking back in the door. Suffice to say, I immediately found another vet. Richmond Road Vet Clinic for the win!Ps, are you glad to have my review now?

Dr. Riney went through all the options for our little Petey the poodle with regard to Petey's torn ACL. We went to Dr. Riney for a second opinion. He very carefully explained all options, including the benefits and risks of each. He was so much more thorough than the first vet I visited at another clinic, who did not explain the risks or all the available options. We are now in the position to make an informed decision about our dog's care. The clinic was clean, and all the staff were so professional and nice.We had to buy some meds for Petey, and the prices were very reasonable. We have found our new vet in Dr. Riney.

My family has been going to Nicholasville for over 15years. I cannot imagine going any where else. The staff is top rated. They are genuinely concerned about our precious 4 legged kids, and they show such kindness to me and my family. The vets are top rated! In the past and present the Dr.s and staff have seen us through heartbreak and happiness with our babies. Love you guys for being so wonderful. The Brock Family

I don't live in Lexington any longer, but I loved Nicholasville Road Animal Hospital. I had my cat declawed there and took him when he had an eye infection. They were kind, reasonably priced, and professional. I always felt like my fur-baby was in good hands!

Cannot say overstate how great this vet clinic is. Extremely nice receptionists, technicians, and vets. Truly care about your animals. They fit our new puppy in for an appointment the same day we called. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Dr. Riney and Dr. Whitehouse are absolutely the best. They have so much care and compassion for animals and their owners. Even during this crazy time of covid, they worked my dog Rocky in, listened to my concerns, worked him up and followed up on his progress. Their prices are reasonable, they are super knowledgeable, helpful, caring and kind. There really isn't more that I could ask for!

I don't use this vet, but I got in a car accident and my dog was rushed here. He ended up passing away. The staff at this vet were very kind, and I received a card in the mail which was very sweet.

We have used other clinics for our pets in the area, but NRAH is our home vet now. Dr. Riney is always kind and compassionate, as are all of the staff. He has gone above and beyond for our pets time and again. I feel like they are part of our family, and I appreciate each and every one of them. I do still miss Dr. Riggs, though.
