Nestlé, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky is actually the HOT POCKETS® factory. They opened in 1993, and doubled in size in 1996. In 2014 they took over or consolidated the second HP production facility in California. Currently, this Kentucky location the only place where HPs are made. Making this the largest employer in Mt. Sterling, KY.There is also a pickup/freight location, where the packaged product is hauled off. The process from the production line to shipment, is pretty cool. There is an underground conveyor belt system that moves the product from the factory to the place where the trucks pickup. The front of that location is leased to Ryder, so it's unmarked and unassuming that the location is affiliated with Nestlé.
