We were headed to Lexington & got off to see the historic Boones Tavern hotel. so glad we did! in the hotel is Frost Cafe. We sat by the window and had two cocktails, the Holiday special Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned & Peppermint White Riussian. Our bartender was Heather & she made them to perfection! Not too sweet, just smooth, enjoyable & perfect! If you are traveling or near Frost Cafe, I highly recommend to stop & see Heather ! We definitely will be back! Thank you Heather for a great experience!

It is nice to have a spot like this in a hotel. Enjoyed a glass of wine the first night and a bottle the second. They have flights of bourbon... husband loved it. Service is okay. New servers coming in so a little interesting. Overall okay, little pricey but again nice to have on site. Loved the Talon Moscato.

Decent coffee and friendly people working. It doesn't have the biggest selection in the world but it's a sweet and simple place to grab a coffee on the go.

The coffee here is strong, pretty good, and its proximity to campus is ideal. They offer a pretty good variety--syrups for those who like that kind of thing, pour-overs, and the classic latte, cappuccino, etc. The space itself is pretty small, only 3 tables and some chairs near a window, so it can easily feel cramped. You can also order wine and cocktails which is unheard of for Berea.

I stopped here on a Saturday evening to take myself out for wine and an appetizer. I feel like I was shorted on the amount of wine poured into my glass and the appetizer (mushrooms stuffed with crab) did not live up to taste expectations or its cost. I asked if I could have my wine and appetizer on the inn's wide front porch. I was told I could but that I would be responsible for bringing my wine glass back, which...okay. Then I was told I would have to report back to the Cafe counter in ten minutes to pick up my appetizer. The very nice woman (truly) behind the counter said this was because she couldn't leave her post. However, there were two people running the hostess desk, feet away, neither of whom I saw waiting on anyone. (It was a slow night in the main dining room.) So, I reported back in ten minutes and the lady still had to call for my appetizer. I got three cold mushroom caps and no discernible crab covered in a congealing heavy cream sauce fairly lacking in flavor and reminiscent of the heavy food one reads about in Victorian cookbooks. Served up in a to-go box, which did not make it seem like a special treat at a "fancy" place. After, I had a coffee, which was good, and a cookie from the Cafe's display case which tasted quite, okay, incredibly, stale. Counting $5 tip, I spent $40 on taking myself out and it was definitely not worth it. In general, in the last year, I find that the overall quality of the Tavern's food has decreased as its cost has increased.

My food was cold and not cooked and my coffee was supposed to be vegan with almond milk but instead regular milk they told me after I drink the coffee. That is 15 years of being vegan down the drain. DO NOT RECOMMEND
