M's Canvashouse

After hearing consistently wonderful things from my friends in Knoxvillle (a/k/a needlepoint desert) about M's, I made the three hour trek to see it myself. It's a beautiful, bright shop with a huge selection of fibers, embellishments, and of course, canvases. I came with some projects in progress and canvases I haven't started yet, and the gals were patient and helpful with everything. I'm not an experienced needlepointer, and they helped me choose exactly what I needed based on my preferences. I have a hard time making decisions about needlepoint because I don't know enough to know what I don't know, so it took some serious customer service on their part. In the end, I found exactly what I needed and left with many great recommendations and ideas, not to mention a bag full of needlepoint goodies. I loved all their finished samples and was inspired by the gorgeous decorative stitching on some of them. I also love seeing finished projects because I rarely know how I want my completed canvases to be finished. I'll definitely be back!

This store is phenomenal! An unbelievable array of threads and canvases and the staff is super-friendly and helpful. A wonderful stitching resource in the Bluegrass!

Horrible job finishing. They took 10 months and then another 12 months to complete a project. They completed the project - still poorly done. Throwing away 1/4 of the customer's stitching is not acceptable. Telling the customer that their finishers have mental health problems doesn't help. It is important to communicate honestly with the customer.

I was traveling with my friends and had an opportunity to visit this amazing shop. Meredith the owner is a rockstar with a needle!! Great selection of threads and canvases and the staff is super knowledgable and friendly. A must visit when in town.

I first was introduced to M's Canvas House through a friend in March, while I was traveling. The shop is literally a trove of treasures. From the viewpoint of an average stitcher, this shop and staff are amazing. Not only did I find some beautiful canvases and fibers while I was there, I have continued to shop with them via phone /long distance (from Florida). The staff is very informed and attentive ...they give great advice and tips. They make me feel like I'm right across the counter rather than states away. As a bonus, their finishing department is fabulous. There are samples of all types of projects finished all over the shop. I was so impressed! I can't wait to get their expertise on my next finishing project. I've since referred another customer who lives in Texas, and she,too, now shops via phone. There weren't enough stars as an option up top to tell all stitchers that this is your perfect shop! You really need to treat yourself to a visit! Debby (from Florida)

Wonderful Needlepoint shop! The owner is very talented and teaches across the country and in Europe. The staff is wonderfully helpful and the fiber and canvas selection is great!
