Good food. The atmosphere is like a really nice rustic cabin. The service has usually been great. The food is consistently good, but nothing that really makes it stand out. Good place for a good solid steak.

Ate here for a casual business meal with some colleagues while staying at the nearby hotels. It was a great place for an upscale casual steak meal. They have a full bar, plenty of menu options and the service is excellent. Our waitress made several last minute recommendations, which were spit on. I think the Ribeye, Prime Rib and the Salmon were all great choices. We also enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. Overall, it was fairly priced and easy to get to from the main road / hotels. If you are looking for a venue for family get together, business meetings, etc then this is a good choice.

A Great Steak in a Rustic Setting Montana Grille in Bowling Green is an American Steakhouse and Bar in Bowling Green Kentucky. On a recent visit to the area I was in the mood for a good steak and decided to give Montana Grille a shot. The Restaurant decor is a rustic cabin-like setting with wood beams and western themes. Once I sat down and looked at the menu my server that evening brought out their signature Fire Bread, which is Jalapeno Corn Bread topped with whipped butter and served in a skillet. The bread comes to your table hot, fresh and it was delicious !! Next up, I tried their version of French Onion Soup with layers of ingredients with a flavourful onion soup base. The soup was great and hearty and I highly recommend it if you like French Onion Soup. After all of the calories I consumed, I needed my main course to be on the lighter side and ordered another signature dish, the Jackson Hole Filet. The filet is an 8oz portion, rotisserie fired filet, wrapped in bacon and then slow roasted over hickory coals which gives the Filet a smoky charcoal flavour. Despite its small profile, it was very filling and I had grilled asparagus on the side. This was an excellent meal, in a rustic setting and if meat is your thang, then give Montana Grille a try. Keep in mind this is a meat lovers restaurant and vegan and vegetarian options are limited.

A hot summer Saturday night requires a cool, delicious, dinner. We were seated quickly and our waiter was friendly and ready to serve. The dirty martini was perfect. The wedge salad deserves an award. The tangy dressing they use with the blue cheese is a good marriage. I had the pan fried trout with a baked potato for my main dish. It was light and tasty for a hot night. My friend had the Kentucky bourbon filet and he ate every bite. You can't go wrong with the filet. Almost forgot to mention the fire Bread they serve at the beginning of the meal. Somehow they make cornbread sweet and spicy. Perfection.

Packed on Saturday night. Hostess and the staff were super friendly. It was looking like a 45 min wait at 5:30 pm. We came early thinking we'd beat the crowd. So either everyone was thinking the same thing as us, or Bowling Green just eats early. We actually decided to try Rafferty's down the street, but it too was a long (hour) wait. I figured let's go back and try MG because I think Raffertys is a chain and I'd rather try something local, although the name (Montana) had me wondering how local this place really was. While we waited we went to the bar for some beers. While there I asked the bar tender if we could just order from the bar and they said sure. So we did. The complimentary jalapeño corn bread in a skillet was a good start to the meal. They do have a kids meal and my kid got the little partner burger. It came with cheese, chips and a drink. Adults got the big horn prime rib medium rare with baked potato as the side, fully loaded. And also the Carson City Ribeye medium well with asparagus spears. Both were cooked nicely although the latter has a little too much char in some places leaving it with a kind of burnt taste. We couldn't do desert as we were stuffed by the end. The prices were more reasonable compared to what we experienced downtown the other day. And there was none of that 3% surcharge for using a credit card that we experienced downtown. Would definitely recommend this place over driving downtown for a high end meal.
