Monroe Moosnick Medical and Science Museum

Without a doubt, one of the coolest, creepiest, most unusual things Lexington has to offer. Situated within Transylvania University, the Museum contains all kinds of objects and...parts from when Transy was a medical college. You can get a tour from the museum's curator, the wonderful Professor Jamie Day. He knows all about this awesome collection and has interesting stories to go with the oddities. Ever hear of the Kentucky Meat Shower? Yep - the Museum has a sample of it. Want to see a giant hair ball that came out of an animal's gut? It's in the museum. Plus all the other stuff I don't think I should mention on Yelp out of respect for those who might be easily grossed out. I highly recommend checking this place out if you get a chance!
