A hole of unknown origin appeared in my pricey gray jeans. Took them to Moda for repair. The repair is barely visible. The charge $8.00, which seems to be typical for this kind of repair, and well worth it. Recently, I took my cashmere poncho to disappear a hole, possibly feline inflicted. That too, is MIA to the eye. None better than Moda.4

Looking to get my son's baptism outfit embroidered, I went to Moda per one of my mom's coworker's recommendations. Walking in, I was greeted by a man at the counter (I'm assuming the owner, I didn't get his name) who asked how he could help me. When I explained what I was looking for, he showed me the different fonts I could choose from for the monogram (there were many) and asked if I wanted the embroidery to match the trim. I said yes and asked if we could add two small crosses on either side of the monogram and he said that could be done. I paid (only $12!) and was told it would be about a week. I left hoping that it would turn out okay because I wasn't very specific about the size and spacing of the extra crosses, but I needn't have worried- the embroidery turned out great! At such a great value, I will definitely be going back for my embroidery needs.

I can't speak to the quality of services rendered but I'm going to offer thoughts on customer service. I brought uniforms for my 4 kids to have their names embroidered on the back. I had been looking/driving around all morning for a business that offered embroidery since the place I used to use in Richmond stopped offering embroidery services and a couple other locations closed altogether with COVID. I work 60hrs a week, drink too much coffee for obvious reasons, and motherhood has taken it's toll on my bladder. So this morning when I asked about a restroom and was denied as a paying patron...motherhood hit differently. I work to support my family and afford them opportunities for extracurricular activities, education, at the expense of my time, my personal desires, and my body. Using the restroom is a basic need. I wish it had the capacity it used to but reality is that it does not. I fully support businesses to make their own policies and I respect yours. This morning, I felt incredibly sour at the expenditure of my time and my body for the luxuries my kids enjoy. I hate that I feel that way today; but it's a fact nonetheless. I won't spend my money and pretend like I'm fine with the notion that everyone (including businesses) just thinks squeezing my knees together breaking a sweat looking around anxiously for somewhere to pee is "what I get" for being a busy mother invested in her kids on her day off. The notion of handing over the money I work hard for vexed my soul so I took my business elsewhere. In all things I vote with the dollars I spend. I don't care for your policies though you are welcome to keep them.

If we could leave no stars we would!! Man at the front desk was extremely rude and wouldn't even look at me when I walked in. I told him I just needed a little taken off the bottom of my dress. He asked when I needed it done by and I told him two weeks. He finally looked at me and said "why did you come in here so late?" Very stern in front of other customers! I looked at him in disbelief that I had just been scolded for coming into their business. I said "I'm sorry do you want me to go somewhere else?" He said, "yes go do that" and gestured his hand for me to go out the door. I am so embarrassed and was in such shock that anyone in customer service could act like that.

Finally found a place that does amazing alteration work!! I took a dress, shirt and pair of jeans to be altered and everything turned out exactly how I wanted. They are also extremely affordable! The only "negative" and its nothing to me, but be prepared to wait as they were extremely busy when I dropped my items off and again when I picked them up. I took this as a good sign as people know this place does quality work! Just don't go if you are in a rush as it does take 10-15 mins to get in and out, but worth the wait!

I would not recommend taking anything to MODA. The man (a co-owner) was very rude and arrogant. He told he couldn't sew on some iron-on patches and that no one in Lexington could do it. He was WRONG! I took the jacket to Inta's Alterations and she had no problem doing the work. He said the only way to do the work would be to embroidery the patches on, which he would charge $25 per patch! Outrageous pricing, rude, and dishonest.

I have been using Moda off and on for several years. Their work is excellent. I wish the turn around time were less, but this just means they are busy. I have noticed that a couple of clients have said the owners, especially the man, are rude. Nothing could be further from the truth. They are not native speakers of English and sometimes may abbreviate a response or keep it simple, but they are professional, warm, and friendly. I recommend their work highly.

Fabulous work at reasonable price. I discovered Moda some years ago when I was visiting Lexington area and needed an alteration done. Ever since then I have sent them my alterations, some very tricky, all the way from Annapolis, Maryland. Their demeanor may be reserved (just the way it is), but it's worthy of our acceptance. I'm grateful for them.
