It was my first time dining here and it was a 10/10! The atmosphere was great for a place that seemed to come of as a sports bar. it was calm. it was nothing like how loud it is at most bars. which i enjoyed. the bar tender made convo with us, joked around, and recommended drinks to us. The food was good too! we had the boneless buffalo wings & the waygu burger. will be coming back!!

I had such high hopes for this place. It looks like it would be somewhere we could hang out, watch sports and have some drinks and food.We came in today for brunch with a large group of 18 and had called ahead to make sure they could accommodate us.Including our group, there were probably 40-50 people in the restaurant. Our waitress took all our order at the same time and stopped by our table several times to let us know our food was coming. The food came out in waves. My food was the first to arrive, 50 minutes after our order was placed. The last people in our group didn't get their food for an hour and twenty minutes.I had shrimp and grits. It was barely warm when it arrived. My wife ordered scrambled eggs, a side of sliced tomatoes and a side of bacon. Our daughter got the plain golden pancakes and scrambled eggs. Neither of them got her scrambled eggs and we canceled the order after an hour and 20 minutes. The highlight of my meal was the Ruh Roh Shaggy Bloody Mary.We heard other tables complaining about wait times on their food and the waitresses were blaming our large group for the log jam in the kitchen. They will need to fix their kitchen issues if they want this place to succeed.

I had a great lunch experience at the new Millstone Social. The restaurant was previously a night bar and has a lot of room for the restaurant now. It was nicely decorated and had a welcoming atmosphere. I had one of the paninis and tator tots. It was a good amount of food for a good price. The service was great and I would definitely come back when in Richmond.

Their second week open and they are rocking! If everyone is patient and allows them to get a groove and figure everything out, this will be a staple downtown! Great service, wonderful drinks, the food is fantastic. House made ranch dressing, so good! We will be back!

We stopped in at 10:30 on a Sunday morning. We were greeted and quickly seated. Millstone opens at 10:00 on Sunday. There was only one other table occupied when we arrived. There was a steady influx of people after we were seated. We were given the brunch menu and a separate drinks menu. We were considering a brunch cocktail but were told by our server that we couldn't order alcohol until 11:00 am. City ordinance, not Millstones rule. We ordered coffee and decided on our food. When our server removed our menus, he also removed the drinks menu, which my husband was still reading. We had thought we might order from it at 11:00, but weren't given the option. Our coffee was good and we were offered refills. We were also provided glasses of ice water without having to ask. My husband enjoyed his three egg omelette with toast. My corned beef hash was very good. We were given real butter for our toast which we really like. The brunch menu offered several sweet dishes ( cinnamon role pancakes, regular pancakes and French toast). Savory dishes were plentiful. In addition to what we ordered, options were biscuits and gravy and several combinations of eggs and breakfast meats. If you're looking for healthier items, such as a salad or greens, you won't find them on the brunch menu. As we were settling our check, a couple we know, seated near us received Bloody Mary's and they looked delicious. The ambiance is nice but casual. Kind of a Carson's vibe. Lots of televisions so I think this would be a fun place to watch football or basketball games. Plenty of tables and when weather permits they also have patio seating available. We enjoyed our experience and look forward to trying out the dinner menu soon.

Wow, I'm the first one to review this place. This is a really nice hideaway from the million chains that are here. It smells amazing in here, I don't know what they use but man is it nice! The servers here are super sweet. The portions are decent, but not ginormous. We ordered the parmesan truffle fries, and they were amazing! My only qualm is that I think they had been sitting there a moment or two, as they weren't super warm when they came to us. The truffle and aioli gave the fries a nice oomph. My girlfriend got the fried chicken, with mac and cheese and tots as a side (that's right people of Richmond, you get TWO sides!). There's a reason why they serve it with sauce - it's very bland. The breading is amazing and the consistency of it is very good, it just...has no taste. I'm no chef, but I think it could really benefit from some seasoning or a buttermilk soak before frying. The mac and cheese felt to be box quality, we expected a much sharper flavor or some aspect of homemadeness from a restaurant meant to be sort of upscale. I got the ham and swiss panini and it was really good! I ordered it without lettuce or tomato and found (for some reason?) traces of lettuce on one half. I am very picky and can't really deal with that type of stuff on my food, so I just left that part uneaten. The chips and tots needed salt, but perhaps it's a purposeful "choose your own adventure" salt level. The chocolate cake we ordered was fluffy and light while also benefitting from the delicious whipped topping. I think they could really hit it out of the park, they just need a little more seasoning and I'll give it a Nadia Comăneci perfect ten (five!). I'd definitely come back.

Classy dining area and quick to bring out our order. Good value and lots of options although would like to see more vegetarian choices.

This was my third visit and was hoping for it to be better each time. The food is good but not for the price. Our waitress was hard to find took us 15 minutes to get our check after receiving our to-go boxes. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice but that doesn't make up for the service! We ordered an old fashioned and it took 30 minutes.
