Milk Jar Cafe

Before I start, I LIKE Milk Jar. I still recommend it for those looking to try something new. And I recommend this location as well. That being said...Let's start with the pros:- very clean, large space- the two girls working were incredibly kind. one of them took the time to answer any and all questions I had, and was very polite about all of it- fast service- many, MANY optionsThe cons? The boba just isn't that good. The drinks are really hit or miss. I love their tea, but most of their speciality drinks are poor quality to me. And there are just better tapioca options in Cincinnati. Now in Anderson? This place is accessible and still quite yummy.

Jasmine milk tea was good, matcha latte barely tasted like anything. Cute decor, clean inside. Staff seems to be a little new but with some experience, hopefully they'll become a bit more knowledgeable to handle questions about drinks and menu.

The place had a very cute vibe to it. It was clean, spacious, and a clear menu on the wall. Three girls were working on a Saturday afternoon, and there was not a wait at all. Cute tables to drink your teas, shakes, or eat your rolled ice cream were on the right side of the store. Service was fast and prompt. I had a boba fruit tea with strawberry boba and a rolled ice cream. You are able to choose your toppings, which I chose honey with fresh lemon squeezed over it. I would have loved to add additional fresh fruit like blackberries or raspberries instead of the fruity pebbles, candy, or other toppings they offered. The boba was just ok. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. It seemed to be lacking a sweet flavor to it. Would I go back again? Yes. Was I impressed with the concept? Yes. Do I think they need to improve it with some better choices on their menu. Totally. There's a sushi place and another healthy food place in the same shopping center, which is why I would have liked to see some more unique flavors so it would stand out more and bring in some of the customers from the other two unique restaurants next door.

I'm not a fan of this location. There was a very weird smell inside and the windows were fogged up and just eerie. The workers were not social and ordering was beyond awkward. I got the strawberry matcha milk tea. I love how almond milk was an option, which I chose. It also has freshly puréed strawberries in the drink. Overall, not my favorite boba and not my favorite spot to chill.

I'm so pleased to see this business open another location, they are amazing. I'm especially thrilled they are down the road from me as there are very few boba options in Anderson. Same great service, same great quality ingredients, and this location is super cute inside! Now the trick will be limiting my personal boba intake....On a sentimental note, their first location opened the year i moved to Cincinnati from the west coast, and I chatted with the owners about how comforted i was to have some great boba in an otherwise desolate land They still remember me and say hi when i come in. I feel like their presence in Cincinnati helped usher in some other boba places to open up in the area which is excellent. Milk Jar will always be my favorite though

So we walked in around an hour before closing. Not busy. Clean space. Fun combos. Ice cream was great. My one gripe, I couldn't do a different ice cream flavor in one of the rolls. So there isn't a BOY option, and I really wanted to switch out a flavor for another. Sad. I didn't get what I wanted, but it was pretty good ice cream. We had this same type of ice cream in London Canada and it was admittedly better to be able to build my own combo.

We have been here twice since they have opened and so far it has been just as good as their other locations! Always get a boba milk tea, have yet to try their ice cream which also looks delicious, but I never once have had a messed up order or bad tasting Boba. I will for sure be returning here along with their other locations!

Love Milk Jar! Great addition to Anderson's slowly expanding food scene. The dirty ceylon is delicious. Try it and you won't regret it! The line was long, but the team moved it along quickly and we didn't wait more than about 10-15 minutes from first arriving to having drinks in hand.
